I am making this post to prove that Buffy's big plan was no plan at all.

    1. She couldn't have been sure if Willow's spell was going to work. What if it hadn't worked? All the potentials would have been killed within a few seconds. (not that I would have cared )

    2. Spike's amulet
Well, this is the only reason why Buffy was able to win the fight. I would say they wouldn't have had the slightest chance to win this battle, even if they had been 100 slayers down there. There were thousands of these ubervamps so I say, Buffy didn't have the slightest chance.
But well, there is the amulet. How convenient. Spike begins to burn up inside as a huge beam of pure sunlight shoots out from his soul. All the Turok-Han are instantly dusted. How convenient. But did Buffy know this would happen? The answer is a clear: NO

That's the reason why I wasn't too excited about the finale. I mean I liked it but I had expected to see something bigger.

    What are your thoughts?

Bigger then the entire city of Sunnydale being sucked into the Hellmouth?

I agree with you Christine. Personally, S7 for me was a disappointment on every level. It was not a great way to end a great show like Buffy. I do like the idea of her being able to be normal now though. That's about the only thing they did right.

They killed Anya! So I guess you could say I hated it! That ruined it for me. I also felt she was underused the whole season, and wish the Andrew Anya relationship should have been developed more because they were both the comedic outsiders. Also, why didn't they have an episode with bunnies chasing after Anya? I would have liked that.

I know. Anya's death was totally unecessary and was only used to say "Well, not everyone survived." What didn't they kill all the Potentials except for Kennedy? That would have been much better, lol.

No Afton, they should have killed ALL the potentials, INCLUDING Kennedy.

Bret, it seems to me you really, really liked season 7. But sorry, I didn't. Sure, Sunnydale being sucked into the Hellmouth was cool but that was the only cool thing about the finale. And as I said in another post, it doesn't make me very happy that Sunnydale is gone now. The fact that Buffy isn't the only slayer anymore doesn't make me happy either, lol. Sunnydale gone / Buffy not the only slayer anymore will totally ruin my personal Buffy re-runs. And please, I really never want to see another slayer on Angel! (unless it's Faith )

I also agree that Anya's death was totally pointless. Since I knew that she would die in the finale I really expected to see at least a dramatic death scene. But no, they didn't even give us that. I hated it how Anya's death didn't seem to bother Xander very much. And the others like Giles, Buffy, Willow didn't seem to bother AT ALL. And her death doesn't even bother me that much because who is ever really dead in the Buffy universe? Angel came back, Buffy came back and Spike IS GOING to come back. So, to me there is always a possility that Anya might return as well. I mean, I know she won't because the series is over, lol, but she could. Willow could bring her back - it was an unnatural death after all, I am just not sure if it matters that there is no body anymore, lol. OR D'Hoffryn could bring her back - I am sure he has the powers to do that. Okay, he seemed to really dislike her in the S7 Anya episode but he seemed to LOVE her in "Hell's Bells". Maybe he'll have a change of heart, who knows.

I doubt it. Even if Buffy went into an eighth season, Emma Caulfield wanted no part of it. This was to be her last season regardless.

If she wanted no part of it after this past season, what was the harm in killing her off? If we would have never seen her anyway after this, wouldn't it be logical that she would have died. Better that than have her go evil and run amok.

I still would have rather see her alive. The point was there wasn't going to be an eighth season so no reason to kill her.
