I don't think there's anything wrong with Cally's talking. She IS a country girl after all.

But I knew she and J.R. would never last. She and J.R. really were too different.

Pat, why should they have got an older woman to play Cally? Her character would have been far less beleivable than it already was had she been any older.

Furthermore what difference does her age have to with anyting - you see older men with younger women all the time - look at that Oil Tycoon who married that porno star - can;t remember her name. Similarly it is not uncommon to see an older woman and a younger man.

The fact of the matter is, she;s a good character with a well written background, a great actress who does a damn good accent.

You early season fans are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to finding new thing to bitch about. Why not accept that the show has changed and matured. It's not the Dallas from the early years and isn;t meant to be compared just appreciated for what it is.

It get so old.

BTW, having seen her in Night of the Demons, I must say, she does such a good accent that I forget it's the same person.

i am too use to seeing him with powerful rich woman. i just cant adjust to her. you tell me men date younger woman??? no kidding i live in california. i dated a man alot older also. but then i got older and went for younger men

Chris, we are free to express our opinions on this forum. You like James and Michelle, that's fine that's your opinion, you think the show is still pretty decent that's fine too, again you can express your opinion, it's a free country.

I am free to express my opinion and so are the rest of the forum. I still prefer the early years of the show, I still hate James and Michelle and feel Sasha and Kimberly never should have been on the show on the first time and I am free to express this opinion just as you are free to express yours. You can't change my opinion just as I cannot change yours, so let's just leave it at that.

There's something endearing about the way Cally speaks. She's from the south, and don't most Southerners have an accent? I think it's neat.

Off the topic, I thought Cally looked DROP DEAD gorgeous in her black dress she wore when she went out to dinner with James and JR. Talk about a knockout!

I actually liked her and James when they were plotting against JR and thought it would turn into something, but Debra Lynn had to come along. James and Cally made a very attractive pair.

you have to realize no matter how much we complain and give our opinions it is 90% based on fantasy. after all this is only a show. when we get mad at someone mistreating bobby for instance duh do you really think that is happening? we are just putting ourselves in a make believe world and having fun with it. we know kimberly really isnt hurting cliff or bobby in real life. GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN !!

I actually liked Cally and J.R.'s relationship, it sure was different from J.R. and Sue Ellen's. I think Cally really did love J.R. more than J.R. loved her. It would have been interesting to see Cally hook up with Cliff, just to make J.R. jealous.

She sounds exactly like 90% of the girls who live in my area of the country. I really like her, and I feel her pain as she is getting to know and is beginning to distrust ol' J.R. He hasn't always gone after powerful women. April wasn't powerful when they met. Garnett was just a singer in a bar. Afton was a country girl from the bayou. Mandy was a model; J.R. had to buy her a condo. Serena was a call girl. Holly was very unsure of herself in the oil business. Even Sue Ellen was his puppet for most of the time she was with him. It seems to me that once the women BECOME powerful, J.R. starts feeling intimidated.

i guess the only woman who could of really given him heartburn alot was marilee stone. she had a say so in the cartel. the old boys use to ask her what she thought especially jordan lee

The show sure has changed, but I don't know about the matured part.

Anyway, Cally isn't a problem for me. I like her, but having her married to JR just seems so strange. Paige and Greg's relationship on Knots Landing was much more complex. They never did get married, and looking back I think that was a good thing.

Oh, I so agree Sid Fairgate! I believe Greg and Paige would have been so dull together. Apart they were so much more entertaining to watch.
