I noticed that in the 'earlier' episodes she was 'Sherril Lynn Katzman' and became later Sherril Lynn Rettino !

She was Leonard Katzman's daughter. She was originally billed as "Sherril Lynn Katzman", but started using "Rettino" after she got married (I believe she married the show's property master).

Jackie was never given much of a chance to really show if we was a good actress or not, but it was really sad that she lost her battle with cancer. She was so young and beautiful. I wish she could have had a role that was at least parallel to Sly's.

I completely forgot about her until I read this, she is the only cast member I forgot about. The poorman's JR assistant...

How sad she passed away from cancer. SHe was young what a horrible disease. She was a good actress and liked her character on Dallas.

Did anyone notice her working behind the counter at The Store a couple of weeks ago on Dysfunctional Family Night? It was when Lucy was on drugs and forgot about meeting Pam to pick out a prom dress.

She would have been 50 years old today, had she lived. Jackie was always one of my favorite secretaries. Rest in peace.

You can see a picture of Sheryl Lynn's husband, John Ernest Rettino on the Look: We Made Dallas thread.

Sherril Lynn Rettino was my mother. She died of Lupus, not breast cancer (thats an error posted on IMDB.com). I'd like to say thank you to all of you for keeping my mother's memory alive. She would have been 50 last January.

HI jackiesgirl, welcome to the forum. I am so sorry about the death of your mother, she was a great asset to Dallas. In what year did she pass?
Your grandfather was also a genius by the way!
    Welcome again!!

    Welcome to the forum Jackiesgirl!
Your mom was very good as the character Jackie on the series. Are you in the business too?

    Red face

    Hi everyone!

My mother passed in 1995, my grandfather a year later. Thank you for the kind words. I'm not in the business at this time but who knows where roads may lead me. After all, it's in my blood! I have many memories of the Dallas years. They were some of the best of my life. My grandfather was the most amazing person I have ever known and those were the times he was happiest. He loved to work and to create. I remember the Dallas reunion movie most clearly, I was on location with Papa all the time! My father and I are actually extras in the airport scene (woo hoo for nepatism!) Thank you all for welcoming me so graciously.

    ~Jackiesgirl
