OK. I know this is a dream. If the script was writen prior to everybody knowng it was a dream, what was the original cliffhanger for season 8 going to be? Since nobody even knew Patrick was coming back until everything was written and I beleive filmed since they just took Bobby's scene from a soap commercial. Anyone?

Mark was in the shower covered in blood. That explains Pam's facial expression more too.

How could Mark be in the shower covered in blood if he was dead since in season 9, he seems to be an ancient memory as if he never existed. Or is that one of those dream nitpick things.

Often wondered this myself. There was something filmed with Pam and Mark we'll never see. I thought the outside shot of the Ewing building blowing up would have been a good closure.

Incidentally, the were remodeling all the glass in Renassaince Tower (the Ewing building) in the spring of 1986, so blowing out some windows was no big deal I guess. Sue Ellen even mentions to JR in an episode "what are they doing to the outside of the building?" He answers just some remodeling I ordered.
