    Hi!

Anyone who remembers Garrison Southworth, Miss Ellie's brother? HE was the one who had to inherit the Southfork Ranch, but because Aaron and Barbara thought he was dead, Miss Ellie did. Garrison returned and the Ewings were afraid they might lose their home. Well, Garrison didn't want the ranch back, he only wanted to die there, with Miss Ellie on his side.
But hey, Jason Ewing (Jock's brother) had children all of a sudden: Jack and Jamie. Why would Garrison not have children? What if suddenly a member of the Southworth Family would appear and claim the ranch? Fight the Ewings and become their worst enemies? That would be very exciting! Miss Ellie would be devastated because of the fight between her sons and her cousins! And who would 'win' the ranch? Miss Ellie left and Bobby wanted to sell it in J.R. Returns, but I don't think J.R. would ever accept it. It would be a real battle! This time not over Ewing Oil, but Southfork Ranch! And there would be a lot of people who would be on the Southworth side and do anything to help them! What do you all think?

Maybe it's a good storyline for a fourth reunion movie!

I wrote something very similar this week.....a Southworth relation showing up at Southfork would be a tremendous storyline and I very much would like to see it happen.

Garrison Southforth sure put Jock and JR in their place and that didn't happen very often.

Here's a link to a very interesting take on Garrison Southworth.....one of my all-time favorite episodes. Loved when Garrison told Jock he had trained JR well.......in a very sarcastic reply accused him of seeing "only $$$ signs."

What it comes down to for me is either Pam ending up being the rightful owner of Southfork somehow, due to maybe a stipulation in her divorce from Bobby, or Bobby owning it through the use of Miss Ellie's will, since it IS originally Southworth land, NOT Ewing land.

Pam would have no right or claim to SOuthfork.that would be a bad fantasy sequence. I would like to see some Southworths show up though.

Yes, that has been discussed before, it always seemed to be a more legitimate plotline to explore than many others they did. Because legally, it would be something of a fight and quite plausible. Ellie only got Southfork because she declared Garrison dead and I don't think he had any heirs at the time- but later on, who knows. If he died without a Will, and had children somewhere, I would think they would legally entitled to some of it. Although after 33 years, there is probably some sort of statute of limitations, but it's certainly something that would make it's way through the courts.
