When My Life Went Awry

So off I went,
to my ranch home.
I crashed into the truck,
that still echoes in my bones.

The twisted metal,
which scarred my face.
Punctured my clothes,
through cotton and lace.

My heart aches at the pain,
that I endured that night.
Lying in agony,
with nothing left to fight.

My son would have gawked,
my husband would have cringed.
Just by looking at me,
I'd feel like I sinned.

I had to get out,
yet where would I run?
My life was over,
there'd be no more fun.

It dawned on me then,
Katherine's help I would need.
She's been on the run forever,
she really owes me.

I lied to Cliff,
who thought I was lying.
I lied though to the doctor,
he thought I was dying.

Time to fly,
far from here.
Away from the pain,
away from the fear.

Katherine stole my money,
left me high and dry.
I was lost in Europe alone,
with too much pride to cry.

So into the convent I went,
being Sister Rebecca the nun.
I could never return to Dallas,
after the sins I've done.

Here I am now,
all those years later.
God has forgiven me,
but will Bobby and Christopher?

Excellent writing Frankster! You are a poet & you don't even know it.......LOL!

Taking into consideration the way Pam just 'flitted' 13 years ago it would be quite plausible that she coverts to Catholism & becomes a nun, upon wicked half sis Kath driving her insane. However it would be uncharacteristic for the Pam we knew & love pre 1987.

Nevertheless your creative idea Frankie would be so authentic & believable for inclusion in a possible 3rd sequel. Imagine it , Pam returning to SF as Sister Rebecca & everyone gobsmacked to see her as well as her career move. She would leave the sisterhood & remarry the love of her life Bobby @ a lavish SF ceremony.

They would bow out of Dallas to start a new life, in California. JR's infamous meddling antics swinging their decision. We would see them in the final scene heading to JFK airport, crusing along the Dallas highway in their new BMW Z8 sports tourer. Pam would look over, starie eye @ Bob, declaring "I've always loved you Bobby James Ewing & will forever". Scene still @ a moment of passionate snogging....... !
