Nobody expected Bird Dog to get picked up anyway... the cast had already moved on to other projects.

I hope things continue to go well for Dallas and it happens all the way.

TNT will have so much money wrapped up in the production of the pilot they will at least have to show it. So, we will at least be getting another "movie" type installation of the series.

TnT waiting for Dallas pass on 2 other pilots

TNT Taking a Pass on Two Pilots After Picking Up 'Perception' Deadline.com
TNT has passed on two pilots after picking up drama pilot "Perception" to series, reports Deadline.com. The two rejected pilots are "Bird Dog," about a father-daughter police team, and an untitled project from Allan Loeb based on Marshall Karp's novel "The Rabbit Factory.”

The story notes that TNT is still waiting for its two highest-profile pilots, the "Dallas" reboot and the Robert Redford-produced "Generations," with the first in pre-production and the latter in casting.

As it picked up drama pilot Perception to series today, I hear TNT passed on the other two pilots that had been in contention: Mike Robe's Bird Dog, about a father-daughter cop team, and Allan Loeb's untitled project based on Marshall Karp's novel The Rabbit Factory. The single series order to come out of the three pilots leaves some shelf space as TNT is yet to receive the two highest-profile pilots from this batch: the Dallas reboot, which is in pre-production, and the Robert Redford-produced Generations, which is in early stages of casting.
