Yeah, he was determined to hold up the integrity of his office as a Texas state senator and be completely objective in this case where I guess nobody ever heard of a little something called, uh, I don't know...a glaring conflict of interest?? But of course, Bobby was such a moral, honest, responsible good guy, we had nothing to worry about.

JR and Cliff from Season 5 opener...the body was Kristin's! (it always kind of creeped me out to see Christopher splashing around in the pool where his mama's corpse was one floating, and Sue Ellen too...ewwww).
























The sheriff can't get a straight answer so he's hauling them both down to the station house!








Fenton has had just about enough of Cliff's smart lip, dagnabbit! Check out JR's "WTF??" face trying to think up a plan to get his guilty ass off the hook.

Seriously Cliff, what the heck are you doing going to the enemy's house to "talk" the night of the verdict against you??? Of course devil JR is gonna have thrown poor Kristin off the balcony while wearing a smirk and holding a bourbon and branch.

I always thought it was odd that Bobby, who is the bro-in-law to Cliff and the brother of JR would be sitting on this hearing committee. I love TV logic so very much!

I know this is really un-PC of me, but honestly, Afton, if you're gonna drug Cliff, why not have your way with him - just a little bit? Also, never really bought that JR would actually GO into Cliff's apartment with Harry. Why risk someone seeing him?

More from "Ewing-Gate" - JR knows he is in big trouble thanks to Cliff's superior sleuthing skills, so to save his ass he bribes Afton into drugging Cliff's coffee!!









Once Cliff is out, she lets JR and Harry into the apartment to photograph the evidence...














I don't think he ever found out about this, did he? If he freaked out over the Gil Thurman thing, I wonder how he'd react to Afton being responsible for him losing this case and making him look like a fool when all his accusations against Ewing Oil were true? And I wonder how much $$ she sold him out for?

Cliff and JR from S4 "Ewing-Gate" - Cliff is confident he will bring JR down over the Asian oil scandal, with the help of his BFF Senator Bobby Ewing.

I totally forgot that JR tried to shoot Cliff out in the bush while wearing a safari jacket with Ray as his backup! JR needed Cliff just as much as Cliff needed JR. There characters are defined, in part, by each other. Great tribute to JR!
