The TV presenter has apparently been earning around £40,000 per show – £400,000 for the series – as part of her £4 million 'golden handcuffs' ITV contract.However, the deal comes to an end this summer, allowing ITV to offer a smaller contract of around £12,000 per show, reports The Mirror.

A TV source said: "Christine has been paid an awful lot for not very much in recent times. Perhaps, the pendulum will swing back in our favour."

Bleakley's other presenting roles on ITV since leaving Daybreak in 2011 have been one-off specials Text Santa and That Dog Can Dance.

Last month, Bleakley was reported to be facing the axe by ITV, following the end of her contract in June.

She recently delayed wedding plans to boyfriend Frank Lampard, as he is yet to finalise where he will be playing football next season.

Bleakley quit management company Avalon last month in order to sign up with James Grant, who also manages the likes of Phillip Schofield, Ant & Dec, Holly Willoughby and Davina McCall

A huge shakeup may be in the works for the next season of American Idol.

All four judges on the show — Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Keith Urban — will be out of a job come next season, according to a report from TheWrap.com.

Each of the Idol judges has options for next season, but the network allegedly doesn't plan to pick them up because "They feel they've lost their core audience, and they want it back," a source told the website.

The site also claims that producer Nigel Lythgoe won't be asked back either.

Although major name judges have come and gone over the show's 12 seasons, Jackson is the only mainstay from the first season. His original compatriots Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell left the show long ago for other projects.

If the speculation is true, Idol will probably be saving a few pennies. The combined salaries for Jennifer Lopez (in 2012), Minaj and Carey equaled a jaw-dropping $45 million.

A representative for Fox could not be reached for comment.
