Don't buy them period. These will be the same, play in the same format as black market DVD's at a Neiman Marcus price. Realizing that they may not have sold as well here as in Europe, Warners does owe it to it's customers to at least give us what Europe got. The decision to end the sale of Falcon Crest DVD's in Region 1 is entirely theirs, but doing this on the cheap is unacceptable. I would accept a choice, even at a slightly higher cost, as to whether i want regular DVD's or the DVD-R's. I for one will NOT buy them. Paige came on the show in Lisa Hartman's last episode. Cathy could have easily taken over most of the story lines written for Paige. But the Cathy/Greg love triangle could have been good!

Could Knots be one of the potential titles?

I have long suspected that a streaming deal makes the most sense from Warner's perspective. Convert it to digital, license it and generate quick revenue VS manufacturing DVD's, ship them to retailers and take home a % of the retail price. If it bombs, take a hit with buy backs and deep discounting. Which is what happened with both seasons of Knots and why we have not seen any more.

I honestly think the DVD to consumer market is coming to an end in the ( k) not too distant future and direct digital delivery, with streaming becoming the dominant delivery method, taking it's place.

A bonus for Knots, or fans of other titles that might be included, Netflix, and other delivery services, are not likely to accept the half-assed, crap, faded, filled with scratches and debris prints that they used for the DVD releases of Knots season one and two. I bet broadcast like standards will apply and they will force them to strike new prints.

Had the Dallas movie ever come to fruition, or the proposed new series been picked up, the value of Knots would have increased and it's more likely they would have looked at additional season releases more seriously. As it is now there is almost no chance the remaining seasons will ever see a Warner DVD retail release. She didnt even get a proper exit. I know she went of on tour she didnt just disappear but it was implied that she would be returning soon.
