Where did Ellie go

The statutory rape issue was manufactured by the writers in the early, early episodes to try to establish that Lucy was "rebellious" and flirty and promiscuous... Ray was just sort of the handy "stud" available for these purposes, and wasn't intended to be branded a criminal.

The one big miscue committed by Ray was in his very last season, when he overplayed his hand and basically forced Charlie off to Europe. (Sadly, Jenna gave her submissive consent to such a radical move.)

Remember what Ray DID accomplish: He loved Jock and Ellie, befriended Clayton, befriended Jenna at a time she really needed him, helped in the range war against McKay, helped save J.R. from Calhoun, salvaged Jock and Ellie's marriage after the Takapa fiasco, etc. etc.... Not to mention continually putting up with J.R.'s hurtful insults about his lineage...

Ray was not perfect, and he WAS blue-collar and unrefined (as the writers wanted his character to be), but he had more positive than negative character attributes. Please, please, lay off the statutory rape arguments http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I agree 100%, all Ray bashers need to get a life, as their arguements are pretty lame and quite tasteless. Oh dont forget when JR & Bobbys chopter crashed who was it that saved them? Good old Ray Krebbs.
