If Sue Ellen, according to WOTE, is now living at Southfork, and say she re-married JR, would that make her the "Lady of the Ranch"? Or like the next "Miss Ellie"? Does Sue Ellen have what it takes to be the next Miss Ellie

Nobody could replace Miss Ellie. She was one-of-a-kind.
But, in the role of First Lady of Southfork, or Lady of the Manor, I think Sue Ellen could easily take over either role.
1. She's earned it.
2. She is the only female from the old days to still live at Southfork and an actual member of the Ewing family even if she's not married to J.R.
3. If Pam or Donna came back Sue Ellen would still be considered for the title. She's the older of the two.
4. She runs 50% of Ewing Oil.
5. If she's married to J.R. again, definately because he's the oldest brother.
6. Sue Ellen is the older, maturer female and would definately take over the role that Miss Ellie was in.
And, lastly, everyone knows Sue Ellen was never one for Southfork's upkeep, but she did take pride in preparing the Ewing barbeque's in Miss Ellie's absence. One could easily call her Lady of Southfork to make things all simple.

Sue Ellen would make an excellent candidate for the lady of Southfork, but she couldn't work at the same time.

WHY NOT?

Yes, but Bobby owns Southfork now. Miss Ellie left it to him. But regardless to this, Sugar will stil be the Lady of the manor because:
even though she sometimes appeared to not give a flying she nigh nit, Sue Ellen was the one who stepped in and did what had to be done in Miss Ellie's absence....she is the one who seems to have learned from her mother in law the most when it concerns the ranch...While NO ONE can take the place of Miss Ellie, Sugar has proven that SHE is the one who should pick up where Miss Ellie left off...Sugar has proven time and again that SHE IS A EWING...more Ewing than any of the other daughters in law will ever be....This is not to put down the others...just stating a fact here...Sugar did what had to be done no questions asked and not having to be told.
If Pam or Donna came back Sue Ellen would still be considered for the title. She's the older of the two.
I never did buy it that DONNA was YOUNGER than Sugar...LIES all LIES I SAY! :lolo:

I also love it! :D
But, no way, she isn't and she won't ever be the "Miss Ellie" of Southfork.

I don't think she will be another Miss Ellie...but she could totally take the role of the queen of Southfork easily. She was the only one that actually came back to Southfork and the only one in my eyes that would be suitable to take on the role...if her or JR was together or not. :D

Very good point ... there will never be another Miss Ellie!!! :)
Sue Ellen always did like playing "house" and being involved in all the charity work with Daughters of the Alamo!!! And she's definitely got the potential (and the experience via Miss Ellie) to be the lady of Southfork!!!
But only if she's able to put aside the attitudes we witnessed in the earlier seasons. Otherwise, she would be the lady of a very empty house, I'm sure!!! ;)

I agree there could never be another Miss Ellie. :thanks:
I think Sue Ellen deserves to be the lady of the house. As much as I love Pam and Donna, Sue Ellen was at Southfork longer than either of them, and considering all the hell she went through she should get something out of it!
But I too wonder if Sue Ellen really would want to be the lady of the manor now....in the first season I know she wanted to be (remember Bypass when she is dancing around like the house is already hers) but she changed her attitude a lot over the years. She might decide it's not worth it if she has to put up with J.R. again. :D
