This is kinda a branch off of Pamela's post about the New Dallas Movie.

If they do have characters that won't have the orignal actors/actresses returning, who should replace them.

Here are my picks:

For Miss Ellie- If BBG doesn't return, I would like to see Angela Lansbury play Miss Ellie. I've always thought that Angela acts like BBG and follows the rule, less equals more.

There are others like Pam and Charlie, etc, to think for but that's all whom I could think of right now that I want playing who. What do y'all want to see playing who?

Recast for third reunion...

Miss Ellie - Nancy Reagan
JR Ewing - George Hamilton
Bobby Ewing- Dennis Quaid
Sue Ellen - Lesley-Ann Down
Pamela - Ashley Judd
Lucy - Heather Locklear
Ray Krebbs - Garth Brooks
Cliff - Jerry Van Dyke
Clayton - Dick Van Dyke

Actually, I agree more with Frankie's nomination of Angela Lansbury as Miss Ellie, than mine of Nancy Reagan.

Just a thought...
What if Angela Lansbury was casted as Ellie Ewing in 1978, and Barbara Bel Geddes has got casted as Jessica Fletcher in Murder She Wrote in 1984.

Assuming Dallas starts at the mini-series again, I tried to pick age-appropriate actors.

Miss Ellie-Tyne Daly
Jock-The Law and Order/Baby's dad in Dirty Dancing guy.
JR-Michael Douglas
Sue Ellen-Renee Russo
Bobby-Russell Crowe
Pam-Sandra Bullock
Lucy-Cristina Aguilera
Ray-Alan Jackson

Bonus: Lucy and Ray could sing duets on country songs.

------------------
JR: "Bobby, you're becoming a regular little detective"
Bobby: "Well, JR, that's a handy talent to have with a brother like you"

I thought i'd bring this thread back from 2000. It has something to do with the movie, lol.

Gary: I am too old to enjoy marriage to the queen of her own drama!
Laura: Richard and I are beyond privacy. Our marriage is a neighborhood joke.
Sumner: Most people have an innate sense of modesty. Not Paige, she doesn't wear underwear.

The series started in 1978, JR (not Larry Hagman) was 39, Bobby was 30, putting Garry and Ray were some where in between. This means should Jock and Miss Ellie would probably be around 65 or 70.

JR - George Clooney
Bobby - Ben Aflec
Garry - Owen Wilson
Ray - Bill Paxton/Russell Crowe
Cliff Barms - Stephen Collins

Sue Ellen - Renee Russo
Pam - Ashley Judd

Jock - Clint Eastwood
Miss Ellie - Ann Margret
Digger - John Mahoney

Wendell - John Voight

Kristen Shepard - Neve Campbell

Punk Anderson - Gene Hackman

Lucy- Kirsten Dunst
