Hi guys
Right been to Tripod and started a BBG one http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (really, dont hold your breath!! http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif)
A few questions

I just want a simple site, like my IT simple skills. really just want to post photos at present, similar to what Pamela did on the forum with the photos I sent her earlier.
Nothing frilly or fancy http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Bog standard rows of photos of BBG past and present etc

BUT
I choose photo album format and it doesn't let me do that
ie 3 photos in a row ______ _______ _______

Is there a better one to choose from that will let me do it, I dont want to wrap text round photos etc as I say I just want a bog standard one where I can upload photos and maybe, just maybe worry about text later once I've got the gist of it!!

PS I can upload photos, have worked that one out but it is more in layout and presentation on a web page that is puzzling me, as it all seems to be down the left side of the page but I want them in rows across, does that make any sense to you??

Congratulations that you started !!!
Yes you choose the right - photo album, but as I know it only allows 2 pics in a row...You have to put them so ____ ____
____ ____
____ ____ for example...
As for the text you have to click on the *edit* yellow button and than click *delete this item* from the green panel down...
When you'r adding a pic if you dont want to make it a link,tex, frames ect., you have just to choose your picture size and than click *done*...
Everything that appears on the page and you dont want to be there (like *enter text here*, or descriptions) you have to use the same yellow *edit* button and to delete the unwanted items....

Right I didn't know you could delete the text sections, thats a help.
How many photos would you recommend are loaded per page if I do them small rather than medium or thumbnail??

Barbara fan, you can add as much pics as you want per page, it is only dependent on the users speed, if you are using a cable it will be faster, but if you have a phone modem it will take much time to load all pics, so may be the best is to put around 5 pics per page...
The size you will choose for them to appear on the page isnt important, because the KB are the same and it will take the same time to load, so if you want to put thumbnail:
1. be sure to have two copies of the picture
2. the first you have to resize and make it small, that will be the pic which will be the link to the bigger
3. than upload both files with different names
ex. pic_1 and pic_1small
4. inseart pic_1small on the page and make it link to the bigger

Now you will be able to put more pics per page and the loading wont take much time...

i love the jay leno show and watch it every night at 10pm on FTn - a UK channel, we get it a day later than you, i saw her on it and thought she sang lovely, i really liked the song she sung, so ive only known who she is for a few weeks but shes cool, nice site too!

I am slowly putting BBG pics on a web site but haven't published it yet.
Take it that is easy to do????
I dont have cable and it is sooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooooooooow to upload, that I have lost the will to live several times. http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif So far I have done 4 pages (WOW-said sarcastically, but didn't really think it would be so slow!!) Slowly, slowly doing a web site on BBG.
have 8 pages to date, but will wait til theres a little bit more!
It is soooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooooooooooooow to load that I admire everyone who has done their own even more! Dont know if I've got the patience.

Is it easy to post articles such as the 1980/81 ones I posted earlier???

For the BBG tripod site is it easy to post articles as well as photos.
THe articles I mean are the ones I've posted on the Forum before.
I used to get drunk every night.
Why I relived my tragedy on TV etc

I was going to do a section on articles for it, just wondering if it would work???
