On tonights 10 pm news....the lead story was about a Police Dog being shot and taken to surgery....... http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Now don't get me wrong.....I love dogs....LOL.....hasn't been a full year in my life that I didn't have one http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

But this is just DAMN Ridiculous.....War, Famine, Concerns over a Chemical Attack in the US........Is the Dog being shot more important than this.......or have we just become jaded over the tragic hapenings in the world?

The guy that did it faces the same charges if he had shot a Human Police Officer.....WTF????....It's a DAMN DOG FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!!!!!

I will post a link when it becomes available....This is a "house" breaking story....http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Its funny that this happened where you are too, because yesterday in my hometown in Cali, a police dog was stabbed to death, and the guy who did it was shot and killed. I have so much sympathy for animals, and i do think that the guy needs to be charged, because it is like killing a police officer imo, but also, if a person killed an animal that was not on the police force, they would still be charged because its cruelty to animals.

I'm not surprised about the news; even the network news is rarely international stuff. The dog story doesn't surprise me.

BTW, how is Rover?

here's the story.....

GREENVILLE,SC -- A Greenville County K-9 dog is recovering from a gunshot wound Wednesday evening.

Deputies said they responded to an area behind Parker Middle School at the intersection of Eighth Street and Woodside Avenue around 6 p.m. on a report of a suspicious person in a car.

When deputies arrived, the man fled on foot into a field. A K-9 officer released his dog, Roscoe, to pursue the man.

Deputies said the man turned and fired on the dog, hitting him at least once. The man surrendered a short time later.

Roscoe was taken to an emergency veterinarian for treatment. His condition has not been released, but deputies told WYFF News 4 that he is expected to be OK.

Piece of cake
