New Days theme

Did anyone notice the new Days opening theme last week ??? I like it, kind of jazzy and has a little bit of the old theme (1970-80's version) in it.

Is this the first time that DOOL has changed its theme music? Have they got rid of that man talking over it - i hate that.

No, but this is the first theme I can remember that is different from the rest. The one they just replaced I think they started using in 1994, which was basically the same as the one before it, just changed up the instruments a little bit.

MacDonald Carey, the man talking over the theme, died in June 1994, but I guess for tradition, they'll keep using it. When he was alive he would also say towards the end of the theme "this is MacDonald Carey, and these are the days of our lives".

I miss the old theme. It was classic, but this one is good too. It fits the new Days.

I wish they'd update their opening like AMC did, keeping the same theme, but adding the pics. I think that would be nice.

They've been going inbetween the new and old theme the past few days...I think it might somehow be connected with "New Salem" and the island....

I noticed that. The old theme was back this past week. Actually like the new one better, something different.

I think days should finally get a theme where they show the faces of the actors that take part in the show...don't get me wrong, they should not get rid of the hr glass, they should just add on to it

I would love to see a new opening credits also, from Days Of Our Lives and then something like As The Wordl Turnes also with pictures from the cast.
