I was just wondering if there were any other Guiding Light fans out there. I know you are one Frankie...do you visit the forum often anymore?

I'm not, but its only bc I can't watch it, bc I'm at school.

I only watch the ABC soaps and Days.

GL does have an excellent set of credits though.

Hey MissT http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah I watch Guiding Light religiously though it's getting on my nerves a bit now. Phillip being whacko is pretty stupid. Though I like the fact that Reva's son Jonathon came back, I don't like him fighting with Marah. Also I don't like this whole "Marianne Caruthers" storyline that connects all the older male characters to something that happened in Springfield years ago. Another thing that frustrates me is that Aubrey Dollar, who plays Marina is going off the show. I really liked her a lot and I can't really stand Shayne, so hopefully they'll find a good replacement.

I agree with your opinions Frankie. The Phillip thing is totally stupid. And it is such a shame that AD is leaving!

I wonder how the race for mayor will turn out. BTW--always remember that Manny rules! hehehe

In the past I have gladly seen Guiding Light. These were the episodes with Philip, Alan, Frank, Bill, Rick, Reva, Holly, Josh.... I don`t know which of them are still in the series and which of them are not longer in the series at present. I look back on the time then I came home from school and have seen Guiding Light. http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif It was funny!!!

But the series isn`t broadcasting on tv since many years. Sadly, I want watch it again.

I have not been able to watch in months since before I moved. I honestly don't even know what time it comes on out here on the East Coast. I try to keep up with the updates in TV Guide but there's alot of characters that I don't know now. For instance, who's Carrie? She seems to have become a big part of the show. I'll have to start buying Soap Opera Digest more often because they have much more detailed summaries of the shows. http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I have watched Guiding Lights over 30 years now. I never miss an episode but I have been alittle disappointed in it recently. I love Gus and Harley they are my favourite couple. I really can't stand Michelle recently. I think the way her character is acting is really sick. I also like Edmund and Cassie..

I'm LOVING Guiding Light right now. The new headwriter is doing wonders with rapping up that demon writer Ellen Weston's stories.

I think Michelle is better than she'd been in ages, and is finally interesting again. I can't wait for her memory to be back, but I think her journey to that is very interesting. Its interesting seeing her make new friends (Olivia) and lose some (Marina).

I also love the Cassie/Edmund/Dinah storyline! Gina Tognoni is great as Dinah, but I never doubted she would be. I can't wait for them to see her. She seems really interesting. Cadmund is my favorite couple right now, behind Gush of course! I don't understand why Gus is protecting Alex. They're ruining both Alex and Gus, but Alex has been ruined for ages now. They need to recast...maybe bring back Joan Collins if possible.

I'm also loving the teen scene! Tammy/Joey/Lizzie is an interesting trio, gotta love Lizze, even though Joey is a bit of a dud. I'm glad Marty West is leaving, because they just can figure out what to do with him. He's also boring with nunuMarina. She's better with Sandy who I also enjoy.

I do wish they'd completely rewrite Jeffery or get rid of him. He's extremely dislikable, and he's connected to way to many people.

I know Reva is getting a BIG storyline soon, and I cannot wait until that begins. Kim Zimmer is great, even in throwaway scenes, and I can't WAIT to see the light turn back on for her!

Jessie, I must say I envy you, having watched for 30 years, while I'm currently in my first regular year.

I also like the Lizzie/Tammie and Joey storyline. I just hope Tammie wins back Joey.. Lizzie never learns she always has to do things to hurt others.
