hey buddy
Anyway, I do remember you telling me that you watch "Les feux de L'amour", well there's a good storyline right now and you guys probably won't see it till 2008. it deals with Jill turning out to be Catherine's daughter. Catherine gave her up for adoption when she was a baby. it's good materials considering that the women have been at each other's throats for as long as i can remember.

Amanda: I thought you had better taste.
Kimberley: What can I say, one woman's trash is another woman's treasure.

Alison: if you want get tanked and imagine things, that's fine, i don't want to participate in it
Jake: so why did you come in here you want me to do you on the desk
Alison: Jake!!!
Jake I don't know, i keep trying to be a nice guys but all you women want is someone who treats you like trash
Alison: This is not about me
Jake: Ah, it's all you, you got a good guy in billy, he loves you and wants to treat you right, but you gotta come sniffing around me.
Alison: I am going to forget that this conversation happened.
Jake: No, I don't want you to forgot, I am not interested in you, you get that, NOW GET OUTTA HERE!!!!

Sorry to be almost one month late to respond. It's been a while since I last read the "All About Soaps" forum.
Well, indeed, that story seems interesting, although a bit unbelievable. And are we supposed to believe that Jill is over 20 years younger than Katherine ?
I don't buy that. Anyway, there seems to have been a lot happening since where we are up to here. In the episodes currently shown in France (which I believe are from early 1999), Katherine has just gone back to drinking because she cannot stand sharing her house with Jill who has hired a new maid (whom I find extremely ugly LOL) to drive her nuts. Nick and Sharon are having couple issues after his confession that he did sleep with Grace during a business trip. Cassie's adoptive mother is trying to get her back from Sharon, and Jack is scheming with Brad to get rid of Victor at Newman Enterprises. Oh, and Paul is dealing with his amnesic father whom he thought was dead. That was where we were the last time I watched. I haven't watched it in a while actually, I'm not really into daytime soaps. I just watch an episode once in a while, and it moves so slowly that it's enough to understand what's going on. Since the beginning of this month, they have put two episodes in a row everyday, meaning they air ten episodes per week. I think it's a good way to make up for the tremendous delay we have compared to the US.

Jill is actually 20 years younger than Catherine. They met in 1973 and jill was supposed to be 17 or 18 while catherine was in her early 50's. I don't know how old the real actresses are though.
I, too, don't watch the daytime soaps every day. once every two weeks. the action is very slow so that if you stop watching a soap for three months and you start watching it again you'll not miss a thing.
By the way, melrose place is back here in the usa, we just finished the first season. Actually, I had a question that I had asked you weeks ago, you probably never saw the post. it's about your comments on season 4, the aftermath of Kimberley's wrath. Now, it sounds silly but I am trying to find if there's one MP fan who actually enjoyed that year. Am i the only one out of the whole bunch http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well, you're not the only one who loved Season 4 of Melrose Place. I absolutely love it ! It's Melrose Psycho at its peak. There were very good storylines that year, I particularly like Kimberly's multiple personality issues, the storyline with her stalker, the whole Hayley/Alison/Billy/Brooke/Jack/Amanda/Peter/Alycia/Bobby/Sydney mess, the Sydney/Michael/Jane/Richard/Jo/Jake mess, and of course, everything that happens at Burns-Mancini (Peter, Michael and Sydney are an hilarious team). The only character that I didn't care for at all during that season was Matt. I wished he had been in jail sooner in season 3 so that he could have been at the building for the explosion and died in it. I liked him in seasons 2 and 3 but he was such a bore during season 4 (who cares that his actor boyfriend is getting married ?) and season 5 (the abusive boyfriend storyline, then the custody trial, which at least allowed us to see the wonderful Nancy Lee Grahn on MP). Season 4 is full of good memories, although I didn't like at all the way they got rid of Jo. I wish she had moved back to New York rather than following that awful boyfriend of hers to Bosnia.

especially the last 7 episodes. that was the thing with MP, the last few episodes of each seasons were really heating up.
Also if you compare, season 2 and 3 are quite similar in terms of style and themes, as well as season 4 and 5 and season 6 and 7.
For starters season 4 and 5 had more characters, more outrageous plots and more of everything, even the characters became a little "rich"
While in season 2 and 3, things were more down-to earth.
It's like Knots Landing, they start out poor and then they start owning businesses.
Melrose place is like a parabola curve. season 1 is way at the bottom, then season 2 and 3 is the increasing side of the curve, the peak is when kimberley blows up the complex, then come in season 4 and 5 and the decreasing side of the curve is season 6 and 7.
hope you understand my mathematical perspective.....
