Maybe... Just Maybe!!!

Hey all, i have just read a post on the forum which i think is hope for us FC fans in the UK, b4 i say why i have posted the text below, read it now...

This is a UKGold spokesperson speaking!

"it looks like you'll have to wait or a while. A spokesman for the channel says:"we are planning to give these 1980s US soaps a bit of a break, but one of them may well appear next year, so keep watching".
So this is bad news I am afraid. There is no certainty that "Dallas" or "KL" will return to our screens in the near future.

Forget all the other crap it says there may well be a 80's soap appear next year, well Dallas, Dynasty and Knots Landing have all been shown on UKgold in the last 2 yrs so i think this un-named soap is FC! maybe i am getting my hopes up but i swaer this is fc they are talking about, every time i e-mail ukgold about FC i never get a straight answer, one person told me it was gonna be shown, another said they were having difficualties so i think maybe just maybe all us UK Fans of FC will have a smile on our faces next year! wot do u's all think? am i getting my hopes up?

D_J you may well take this in a positive light. It does sound encouraging and I sincerely hope it materializes.

UK Gold needs to show the Tuscany Valley saga. IMO it is about high time it returned to the small screen, after such a long absence.

Danny I hope you are right. I've had my hopes raised for a Falcon Crest screening many times only to see them dashed so I hope this time it really happens.

i hope so to, i really hope i am right but like i said this is just my take on it, maybe im completley wrong but the thing that encourages me most is UKGold never give me a straight answer on whether they will show it, one thing i wonder is knots landing dallas neighbours all these things are shown on ukgodl and they were all originally BBC soaps and so was elderado so maybe ukgold prefer to show BBC shows in preference to others, if you go to UKGold and go to there text pages now one of the questions on the letters section is when will there be new shows? and somebody from ukgold has replied we plan to show many new and exciting shows but i cannot say what as its a suprise, maybe again this is fc they are talking about......?

When UK Gold first started I remember reading that they only had the rights toscreen BBC shows and programmes from a few selected ITV regions such as the old Central network and Thames TV. That was many years ago though so there policy has probably changed but I don't know if it has changed enough to show ITV imported dramas. Maybe if you guys can think of some forign ITV shows then there may be some hope for all us FC fans

Infact, didn't UK Gold screen both Sons & Daughters and The Sullivans - both ITV soaps from Australia?

yes knowts lover i think they screened sons and duaghters, not sure about the toher one though, i really hope fc comes on ukgold soon, i have sent them another e-mail asking if they have the rights!
dont forget to e-mail them everybody as it does help, if they think the interest is out there then maybe just maybe.......!
