Which one of Maggie's turns to the camera in the opening credits to you like most?

"Shall I serve this brandy after dinner Mrs. Channing? -Chao-Li
"Why wait? Just pour it on her now. AND LIGHT IT!" -Richard Channing

"I AM TAKAPA"

Season 5 and 6 openings were my faves for Maggie. Susan Sullivan is just stunning

Maggie in her 'no hairs nor graces' role looked fine in all her credits.

How about Melissa? IMO it was the classic years in which she shone the most radiantly. Ana Alicia was very attractive full stop but her final credit i.e. 88-89 didn't do her justice.

Ironically the same year that she was written out http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.

Oh by the way my above reply should have read ‘No heirs nor graces’.

Grammar & punctuation must be 100%, in the journalism field, albeit part time.

The hairs part of it must have been alluding to Ana Alicia aka Melissa, in her final credit picture. Her hair was so bushy, not like when she started the show 7 years prior.

Ana was sacked, due to a salaries dispute. However IMO it could have been more to do with her very last storyline i.e. laying claim on the Falcon Crest legacy. A legacy that was very important to the Gioberti family circle.

Nevertheless as I said recently she shouldn’t have been written out, through death. Depression hit her character and so it hit the mansion/business. Lance was at this stage with Pilar.

He still had feelings for the Agretti lady but now had a new life. A new life which had to progress and not look back. In the real world that is the way life goes. Pressing the re-wind button doesn’t help matters. Also having false ideals about things doesn’t wash. None more so than in Falcon Crest.

Therefore if Melissa really had to leave the show then so be it, as much as I detested it happening. Having a young talented actress leave a show dominated by a ‘non granny’ like character was despicable. However Angela was Angela, as we all know. Sure she did love her young children but what grandmother acts the way she did. In the real world I am not aware of any.

Granted Dana Sparks, Jamie Rose & the younger guest stars up to 1988 did their jobs well but none could hold a candle to Ana Alicia. After 1988 Carla Guigano aka Sydney St. James (FC’s very own Lucy Ewing, without the poison) was a 'godsend'. Also Assumpta Serna who ‘guested’ as Anna Cellini (88-89) added a touch of class.

If a Falcon Crest reunion comes to pass evidentially there will be no Melissa. Great shame!
