I am toying with the idea of including a fan fiction in our new fourthcoming site. Do you think it would be a good idea?
IMO it would be. Despite the well rounded TV serial conclusion I always thought would what it be like if there more seasons after 89-90. A fan fiction would let us explore this. Knots Man is doing a terrifc job with his 'Fantasy Knots Landing' web series & over in UD Dallas has picked up from W.O.T.E, with the 'Legacy' & work is well underway for the 2001 season, so why not Falcon Crest.
I shelved my reunion idea a couple of months ago but intend starting again on it. However we could relive the Channings, Giobertis & Agrettis all over again, with a new web series.
What are your thoughts?

Jock, I wish I could contribute to this but as I think I told you before in the London region we never were able to see the last 2 or maybe 3 seasons of the programme (Thames TV stopped screening Falcon Crest after the "Two Daddies" cliffhanger when Richard "died" and Angela asks a mysterious figure "when are you going to tell Maggie you're still alive" and we are left wondering whether it's Chase or Richard). I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to continue the story beyond this point.

AC thats no problem! The seasons up to this point was the show at it's best, generally speaking.
The fan fiction will capture the spirit of the earlier seasons, when all the core cast featured.
Your contribution would be great, as you are quite an authority on the show anyhow.
There is already a fairly popular Falcon Crest fan fiction, but it doesn't ignore the entire television history of the show:

Jim,
I can assure you that the entire history of the show will not be ignored in the fan fiction, proposed for the new site.
Heaven forbid! The essence of the new web drama will capture the spirit of the earlier seasons. This was lost during the show's swansong season.

I like the idea of more Falcon Crest fanfiction. I write with other talented writers on A New Vintage but I think there are *lots* of untold stories. Are you thinking about housing fanfiction from many different writers or a just doing a new series? Just curious...

I think that would be a great idea Jock. I love reading fantasy Knots Landing as well and ive also popped into the script forum as well. I loved Falcon Crest and think that your scripts would definetely make good reading. Maybe you could even get Knots Man to help you. The two of you would work well together im sure. http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
