Welcome to the series premiere of a new show titled "Falcon Crest". A saga of conflicting wine industries on the quest for land, power, and money. Typical 1980's primetime soap opera goals, with the exception of maybe "Knots Landing".
It all begins when Emma Channing witnesses the terrible death of Jason Gioberti, and Angela Channing, head of Falcon Crest, calls herself protecting Emma by disposing of the body in an explosive way. That brings in the faithful family, the Giobertis: Chase, Maggie, Cole, and Vicki (Jamie Rose now, Dana Sparks later). Chase is a pilot who now wants writer Maggie, wayward daughter Vicki, and good son Cole to get out of the toilet of New York and into the wide open spaces of the Napa Valley.
Of course, mother Angela doesn't like it one bit because the Giobertis will be sure to get the land and starts her series-long attempt to take control. This may sound like a rip-off of "Dallas", but i guarantee you it is not.
Looks like we're gonna have a good show on our hands when it ends on the symbol bird as it turns its head towards us. http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
