William Devane wrote todays episode

Did anybody else notice that William Devane wrote todays UK episode 'Survival of the Fittest'? I knew that he co-wrote and directed some later episodes but I never knew until today that they let him write such an important episode. I thought it was good and I think he got a handle on all the characters. I wonder if, like Greg, he played Brutus in college?

Yes, I noticed that he had written todays episode. I like to see that the actors get involved in more than just acting, it shows that they must value the show themselves.
