I can't remember, not having seen much of the first few seasons, was Mary Crosby, aka Kristen Shepard ever in Knots Landing?because she moved out to California, and I heard or read somewhere that she appeared in Knots Landing just as a guest appearance, but I don't know if it is true.

Why, yes she did! Not only that, the episode in which she appeared was named in her honor.
She was already in CA when she got arrested at some party that the cops busted. She calls Val to bail her out, and manages to get Val to invite her to stay at V&G's house. Kristin then invites herself into Kenny's good graces (talk about a willing victim) and Ginger decides after seeing them in bed together that she wants to divorce Kenny once and for all. Kristin does have the decency to leave when she causes too much grief, but not before dropping the bomb that she's pregnant. She does not tell Val who the daddy is, but carryover Dallas fans are supposed to be able to connect the dots.

Ginger: "I wanted to tell you. I took your advice, and it worked."
Karen: "What advice? I give so much!"

Imagine this wonderful crossover oppurtunity. By sleeping with Kristen Kenny becomes Christopher's biological father, not Jeff Faraday. Later on Dallas when Bobby and Pam are divorcing Kenny show's up to claim Christopher as his own. This causes a permanant swege between Gary and Kenny. Mac gets involved in this. The newfound unity in protecting Chirstopher cause Bobby and Pam to realize they still love each other and decide to no listen to Catherine anymore. Pam then tells Marks Grayson to go to hell.
