RE: jill's murder attempt
Again nobody really believes Val's story - okay it sounds unlikely but after the twins saga u would think her friends (that's what friendship is all about - trust) would believe and trust in her.

what do other people think?

And even if they didn't believe her or support her, you would think that they wouldn't leave her in the house on her own at night, because as they believe that she tried to kill herself, what makes them think that she wouldn't try again.

Yes it is fair to say that in this case Val is telling the truth and nobody believes her, but would you?

And i believe that a true friend would let me know if i was going crazy. All the evidence points to Jill being inocent, i commend Karen for not taking Vals side and letting her make a bigger fool of herself. In my oppinion she has been diplomatic in her dealings with Val, she even went to the hotel to show that Jill spent the night in the belief that it would help Val get on with her life.

Jill: You cant make people commit suicide.
