Garys Trial

I have just watched the episode in wich Gary is tried for the murder of Jill Bennett and was surprised that not one of the Dallas characters were in it. I know Knots Landing attempted cut its connections with the show but you would have thought that Lucy or Miss Ellie would have been there to support Gary, just seems odd.

Oh and did anyone else want to see Gary and Val go down for Jills murder. Damn you Karen! http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hee hee, yeah, I can see the producers sending Val and Gary away to prison. Then the bomb threats and picketing at CBS would have been quite a sight. :-)

But seriously (well, semi-seriously), I never expected any Dallas characters to be mentioned or incorporated into Knots plots. Gary's various travails (including a previous murder trial) had not drawn any attention from his family, nor had any of the various nightmares Val went through. Val didn't seem to want Lucy to be a part of her weddings..ditto for Gary (but who could blame them). Miss Ellie didn't even meet her grandchildren...and we know how valuable family was to her.

I was actually surprised Gary mentioned calling Lucy to tell her of Val's "death" in Florida. My guess is they only mentioned it because they were getting nostalgic, what with it being KL's final season and all.
