Abby Gone??

I have not watched very many epsodes of KL but I was just wondering why Abby was not on the show anymore? Can anyone tell me when she left, why, how was it explained on the show and was she in the reunion and what happend to olivia??

Okay, I'll give it a shot!

Donna Mills was ready to try other acting challenges, so she asked to be written out. Luckily, she gave plenty of notice, so it gave the writers plenty of time to come up with a good "wrapping up" storyline for her. She left at the end of the tenth season, which would have been May of 1989.
Abby managed to dupe Karen out of the Lotus Point property when Abby found out there was oil under the land. She was discovered, however, and had to donate the land to create a park in order to avoid prosecution for fraud. She made lemonade out of that lemon, however, by turning it into a PR triumph. She was appointed as a trade rep to Japan (over Greg!) and departed with Brian to go to her new job.
Since Abby returned in the final episodes of the series, she was a logical choice to be in the reunion...no one stirred the pot better than Wicked Abby!

As for Olivia, the writers attempted to keep her on the canvas, but without Abby around she was really, really dull, so they wrote her out by saying she and Harold moved to Miami.

Well, don't worry.. she'll be back. You'll just have watch another 4 knots seasons from now on Gold, and Abby will zoom back into your life in the last 2 episodes of season 14.

By the way, has anyone else noticed, that the whole version of the starting credit music (not just the end bit of it) is different in the season premiere of season 11 (just started this week on Gold), to that of the rest of the season. Just thought I'd point this out...

Speaking of Reunions, I wonder if we will ever get around to seeing Back to the Cul De Sac on UK Television? It's a great reunion, but I would love to see a good quality version of it! Sky Movies have shown both Dallas Reunions here in the UK, but I have heard no speak of the Knots one.

Yes, I noticed the premiere of Season 11's music was different.
