I must say, I'm disappointed Jodi was evicted so soon. Not only did she seem like she'd be fun, but @man_crush on Twitter makes a good point about how quickly the token black houseguest got the boot: "BET needs to have their own Big Brother show called Big Bruh and cast ONE white person that gets cut in the first episode #BB14." It would be interesting if Chenbot exit interviews actually had substance and she asked Dan how much looks played into his decision in cutting Danielle or Jodi.

Thoughts on the HGs in general: they're growing on me.

Wil isn't as annoying as predicted and with him under Janelle's guidance he has big potential.

Jojo is way too rough around the edges, and Jenn is trying too hard with the rocker look.

What drove me nuts is how outdated everyone looks -- Shane's necklace from circa 2000, Wil's meterosexual flatironed hair circa 2004 Ryan Seacrest, Ashley's spray tan circa 2005 Paris Hilton. BB has never been a mecca for fashion, but come on!

This week I'm hoping we'll see more of Joe, the chef. There's something about him that I like, so he better not float.

As of now, my picks for nomination are Kara and Danielle. They're generically cute (with make up) but they seem like floaters. Get them out now so the game is interesting! Even though Jojo and Ashley annoy me, they're likely to at least play and stir the pot.

Well there was not one ounce of smacktalk on it last night. Usually you see those diary room comments right away where one person is already annoyed with another.....

But looks like the nerdy guy might get to bed a hot chick.

I did like the concept and how it played out.; But I always love this show..

I agree with pTg about Wil. Under Janelle's tutelage, he has potential.... loved it when he said people were "flying and flopping like flapjacks!"

The first comp was entertaining.

Some kept it quiet that Willie looked like Russel [Ian] while others said to his face he looked like Russel. I think if i were him, I would have just said something like "yeah I get told that all the time..."

Willie's nominations:
Kara and Frank.

PoV winner:
Shane.

Wil and Danielle also participated in the competition, in addition to the nominees, HoH, and PoV winner.

My reaction:
Props to Britney for her choices to coach; her team holds all the power this week. Frank seems like a cool guy so fingers crossed he stays, but the HGs could see him as more of a threat and evict him. I'm still getting the floater vibe from Kara.

It'll be interesting to see how the coaches align with each other. IIRC, Boogie evicted Janelle in All-Stars and I read that Boogie told Janelle he wanted to align with her if they ever were in the house again. Maybe she can trick him into thinking they're aligned, but really align with Britney and take Boogie's team down (after destroying Dan and his team first, obviously).

In other news, the season premiere of "Big Brother" was down slightly from its debut last year, but it still won its time period Thursday night by a good margin and helped give CBS an across-the-board win for the night, according to MortysTV (http://mortystv.com/big_brother.shtml). Entertainment Weekly (http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/06/19/abcs-glass-house-not-so-spiffy-in-ratings/) says Glass House on ABC premiered with nearly half of BB's 7.1 million viewers, with 4.1 million.
