As we all know the First Season of Twin Peaks took the television world by storm and set the bar high for anything that proceeded it. It left us with many cliffhangers that kept us all on the edge of our seat begging to find out the conclusions and from what i've read many people believe the Second Season was a let down, especially once Laura's killer was revealed.
I on the other hand have to disagree, I thought Season 2 was one of the most imaginative, surreal and poignant season of any show ever!
I was clued to my seat the whole way through, it was definitely a worthy follow up the the first season.
Granted, when Laura's killer is revealed in episode 16 (which was truly remarkable) the show takes a different path, in the form of Windom Earle, but lets face it, what else was it supposed to do? I thought it dealt with the change very well. As it went on yes, the show did get more strange (Alien abduction, David Duchovny in drag and Joan Chen becoming one with the door knob etc) but that was the beauty of it, no show before had done anything like it and as well. Obviously the Windom Earle storyline didn't compare to the Laura Palmer storyline, which in theory was the show, but as a whole this season had it all and more; even the Evelyn Marsh storyline wasn't that bad, who doesn't like a good soapy plot?
Again, this season had some great cliffhangers never to be resolved (only moderately dealt with in Fire Walk With Me), but at the same time i'm not sure a third season would have worked so well, i'm glad it ended on a high, even if the ratings didn't show it.
The Second Season truly is a masterpiece in all of its obscurity

What are your thoughts? does anyone agree?...

It is definitely an underrated season.
