If they don't use and continue to use the original cast, theme music and ranch, it will fail. Not use the senior actors as backdrop. That is why so many previous remakes have failed, Bionic Woman, Knight Rider, and V is about to be canceled. I hope this works, then maybe they will get a clue with the other remakes they make, pay attention to why the show was so successful in the first place. Now I hear they are doing Charlies Angels, but with a different twist, They will be reformed criminals, like She Spies. And herd remake of Wonder Woman, witch is currently a dead project, David E. Kelly, (I kid you not) was going to do it, but all the networks have turned it down thankfully, they can sniff a turd out every once in a while.

Have to make a correction with Wonder Woman, it has been picked up, buy NBC, not a surprise. Don't get me wrong I love Wonder Woman, but only if Linda Carter involved some how, like perhaps the mother/queen.

This is not a remake - it's a sequel - so the old characters will be an integral part of the story. How long this lasts remains to be seen and ultimately the new ones will have to carry it. But remember: the old characters were once new, too.
