Will the new show air in England?

So the whole talk of a new show sounds great :mrG

HOWEVER... if it doesn't air in England, I will actually cry :sosad:

Most American shows such as Glee, Ugly Betty, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl etc. do get shown in England a few months after they were viewed in America BUT will the new Dallas be the same if it does air? :o

Dallas did very well, when it first aired in the UK on the BBC.
Would a network here, be interested in the first run of a season, if the pilot is a hit?
I'd hope so.

Did I read something on the forum about the BBC HD channel and Dallas?
Not sure what thread it was now.

I know my parents watched it regularly when it aired but I dont know whether the BBC would take the chance of a pilot even if it did work well :o

It would be fantastic to see it back on BBC1 on a Sunday night , I'm sure if the pilot is a hit they'd be interested but the price has to be right too. The quality of 'Neighbours' went way down hill, they asked for a monumentous amount of dough so the BBC waved it goodbye. If it doesn't air on the BBC I'm sure it will turn up on a channel somewhere on these shores. Theres no way it will be a hit stateside and then not appear here....

It will never air on the BBC, they are not buying any imports for their major channels and it certainly won't air on BBC Four.

Shame it wasnt a joint BBC venture, it might actually be good.

BBC dumped Dallas into a dreadful sunday at 3pm slot in its final year! So much for the TV show which gave them their highest ratings ever in the 80s!

I think it'll be most likely to be on Five US, More4, ITV2 or another digital channel. If successful maybe moved to one of the main channels.

and IF TNT allows it to be shown outside of the USA.

I agree with Garrison though, until the cast is signed on and filming begins, we shouldn't get too excited. :)
