So, if TNT likes the new Pilot, and makes a committement to order a season, or partial season, do you think it would make sense for them to add repeats of the original Dallas to their daytime tv lineup as a way to hook in fans to the new series?????

Hmmm... it may not attract younger viewers though :o But it would certainly remind the older ones why Dallas was so awesome :mrG

I think The classic Dallas & New Dallas will work for each other in diferent capacities.
That is, if the New show starts to become successful.
Warners Bro's may look closely at current DVD $$$ of the old show when the new one's on tv.

That would be a very smart marketing move.

I don't think they'll do it because TNT just doesn't show stuff that old anymore. In fact, most channels are moving far away from old stuff and when they do show it, it tends to not be Dallas. I think they figure to make it continuous enough for fans but self-contained enough so new people can join in easily to make up for that. Now it would be nice for someone to pick up the old show but with Soapnet on the way out, I can't think of a single channel hardly that would be interested. DVD's are it for now I think-down the road maybe ITunes and online viewing could also be where it shows up, but I have a bad feeling we may not see the old show continuously run on tv here in the states again. I hope I'm wrong.
