Hi there,

I just started watching Season 12 on DVD... actually much better than I remembered it being, but I sense it's the next season that really tanks. But there are elements of Season 12, particularly little scenes of greatness that I appreciate... for instance the scene with Sue-Ellen and Cliff where he mentions the last line of Gone With The Wind; the natural air of the two of them together is quite something... and then Miss Ellie's line about the lap dog!!! Plus the Carter Mackay character is more intriguing than I remembered.

But ANYWAY... none of this is why I was writing. There is this strange moment and I'm wondering if it's a slip in editing. There's a scene where Sue Ellen's in her office, and Kelly walks in to tell her Wendell is on the phone. And it looks like Sue Ellen's been weeping. Sue Ellen looks up, and then takes the call and tells Jeremy the flowers were lovely etc... but her eyes do look all weepy still.

My assumption is that she's been crying about Nicholas Pearce (one would hope; seeing as she has shown very little emotion up to that point about it!)... but it's strangely edited, and I wondered if in the original there had been a longer scene where we saw her cry. I've heard some of the scenes have been chopped up in syndication, so I was wondering if anyone knew if there'd been a longer version of it..?

I am hoping this is what happened, and not that Linda Gray was upset at work that day! :)

Has this been discussed before? Do people know what scene I'm blathering about?

Yes I know what you mean. Sue Ellen is upset about Nicholas.

However this was a difficult time in Linda's life with her sister dying. I doubt she would have ever brought that to work with her though. :(

Thank you Sarah (Super Moderator) ! I wasn't sure if I had just imagined it as it went by... sorry to hear about Linda's sister at the time though.
I still wonder if that scene was longer, at one point.
Just watched tonight Ray's last scene... I got a little teary myself at the Ray/Bobby scene... I wish that Lucy had been part of the Southfork goodbyes instead of off dealing with Casey!!
Thanks for being the first person to respond to a post too!

I'm bummed. I thought this would be about JR being too rough in bed. Silly homonyms.
