A woman approached me and my husband in the street today (Hubby was just lighting a ciggarette up) and said to my better half....."Could I have one of those please ?"

He actually gave her a ciggarette.....then she asked for a light...and said to him "Ooooh your'e a diamond"!!

She then sidled up to me, and asked "where can I sell some VERY expensive bedding?" :confused:

By this time I was fed up with the silly mare (she looked like BB's Heidi...a scruffbag), so I said. "How the **** should I know. Do I look like Freddie-the-fence?" :confused: :confused: :confused:

I was really annoyed, do I look like a middle man for DunElm or something, and more to the point, do I look like the sort of dodgy person, who buys bent gear ??

Your not afraid to speak your mind, your great. I should take lessons. I have had that too, but normally it is watches or something. I also had a young man ask me if I wanted to buy a ring. It was 18carat diamond. He said he needed money, $50.00 dollars. I didn't buy it I kept thinking he probably stoled it off his Mother or wife something. He probably wanted drug money, I walked away but turned and someone else bought it.
I also love the people who want cigarettes, and you say you don't smoke and they get mad. I don't smoke, but go get your own pack buddy.

Parts of the French Quarter, where I live, are quite toursty and bums, drunks and addicts are always, always approaching tourists for smokes and spare change. Every now and then, they make the mistake of approaching me. My typical response is, "Get the fu*k away from me." That usually suffices.

I'm a nice guy and it aggravates Josh when I do it; he says it's rude. And it is of course, but I've learned that if you don't make an impression, they'll hit you up every day.

Just for the record everyone - it was not my intention to be rude to her......I just wanted her to take the ciggarette and go!!
She must have actually considered the fact, that I look "skanky" enough to buy stolen goods.
