This is really cool JA86.

I enjoy seeing the show as it was originally broadcast. That first bumper in the second video is great. Here in the UK, it was first shown without commercials or breaks, which is better, but it means the bumpers weren't used here. I don't remember the teasers or preview of the next episode being used either. I didn't see the teasers until Dallas came out on dvd. :)

Love that old commercial for the Toyota Starlet. I always find vintage car commercials fun.

And OMG!!! That woman in the Close-Up toothpaste advert. She is so hilariously bad an actress. Is she for real?! lol :D I love how she bulges her eyes from their sockets to show interest in her partner. Scary!!

Yes, thanks for posting those, I especially like the mid show "bumpers" as they call them, wish the DVD's included these.

They were redone every year to match the years version of the theme song. One thing about them though, not sure when, but by the dream season for sure, the tunes were used opposite as they were in this season. The slower one, used second here, was later used first when the announcer would say, "Dallas, will continue", and the faster one, used first here, was later used second, after the news guys little piece.

The guy on the news was also Roland Smith, one of CBS' 2 big guys in the 80's. :)

I think he's most famous now for "fighting the frizzies, at 11". (surely someone will get that). ;)
