No. Or OBO makes no sense -- would you say "or or best offer"? No. So don't put it in your Craigslist listing.
I've been Craigslist hunting for a cheap but sturdy TV stand and I keep seeing people put stuff like "$75 or OBO" instead of just "$75 OBO."
So annoying.

Don't worry, you won't be featured - I wouldn't want to tarnish the highly respected image you clearly try so hard to uphold.

kijiji.com is better than Craig's List. But yes, or OBO is highly annoying. I always just type it out anyway. I'm not a fan of abbreviations.

I love when you go to Boston Market and order the roast beef, they will ask you "do you want the au jus sauce with that?"
I'm like, Uhh, this person's making minimum wage, so I'll cut them slack and not point out that YO! "au jus" means "WITH JUICE"

I think you're being overly critical. How many people in the US have even a basic knowledge of French? The bottles of au jus sold at supermarkets label it as "Au Jus Sauce".

I also hear "I went to the ATM machine for some money" a lot, too.

Sorry, I don't mean to be harsh, I just think it's really important for someone in customer service to be able to speak intelligently about their own product. I didn't know a thing about Middle Eastern food when I started to work at a restaurant, but I learned quick because I had to.
here OBO means "On Behalf Of..."
when we want to say "or best offer" we say "ONO" which means "or nearest offer"..
just a little bit of trivia for ya.
