If I didn't know better (and I don't), you'd think that was a wig Barbara was wearing through the years. Whether formal occasions or just exercising, the hair remains the same.

Odd, that.

I don't agree. There were times it was longer, like what they call a page boy and then other times it was much shorter and choppier. I think she would get one big haircut once in a while, and then grow it out for a while afterwards.

Personally, I liked it longer.

And after she returned from her honeymoon with Clayton, Ellie's hair looked like a big meringue for several months. lol

The hair style suited her. It was sporty and youthful and perfect for her. I cannot picture her any other way. If it ain't broke don't fix it!:)

Her hair seemed to get blonder. She seemed older in the mini series than she did later on.

I agree with you that it did change
I think she had a basic style that varied from cut and layered like s1 and 2 to Bob length like s10 and mini.
I loved the fact that her hair blew all over the place in the Texas wind just like ours would. I remember one BBQ that was so windy but Pam and Aftonn must have had a can of hairspray holding it in place.

:p at Mrs Slocombe and I am unanimous in that!! and the meringue
a very stiffly set meringue too.
