Someone knocks on the front door of the Falcon Crest mansion. Cassandra Wilder and her mother Anna Rossini, walking lame, with the assistance of her stick and as usual dressed in black, (a scene from season 4, 1984-‘85):

Emma: “Hello Cassandra!”

Cassandra: “Hello Emma!”

Angela is going over some deals in the study, with her attorney Greg Reardon. The Falcon Crest matriarch looks up and sees her visitors glaring at her.

Angela: “Anna.”

Anna: “Hello Angela! It’s been a long time. I understand you know my daughter.”

Angela: “What is the meaning of this?”

Anna: “We have just come to settle an old debt.”

Cassandra: “Perhaps she has forgotten mother?”

Anna: “Years ago you coveted my husband’s vineyards. You were willing to destroy him to get them. You controlled the reservoirs, in the valley. You shut off all the water supply. Our vineyards died. Everything was lost (she weeps at this point). Rather than surrender our home to you Dominic set fire to it.”

Cassandra: “He was drunk. He thought we were still of town. When I awoke the flames were everywhere.”

At this point we have the start of flashback scenes, at the Rossini house, whilst on fire.

Cassandra: “I could hear my little brother crying for help. I found him and we looked for a way out.”

Anna: “I couldn’t get to my babies. I was sure they were going to die.”

Cassandra: “All I wanted to do was to get to my parents and I knew we would be safe. Then I saw my father. He tried to get to us but he never made it. I watched him burn to death.”

Anna: “I was outside the house. I tried to get back in to rescue my children. Then I heard my husband screaming and then I fell.”

Cassandra: “We finally made it outside to mother, put our arms around each other and watched our house burn. That little boy was Damon Ross, short for Rossini, our family name.”

Cassandra looks over at Emma, who has been dating Damon. Emma is perplexed, by what she has heard.

Emma: “Mother.”

Anna: “You killed my husband. You took our lands.”

Cassandra: “I hold the notes on two thirds of Falcon Crest. I’m your new partner. I’m going to make you suffer, the way we suffered. You are going to wish you were dead.”

Angela is speechless but her look says it all, as can be seen later, in the next season. The true cause of the Rossini estate fire will be revealed then.

Well done BP! The season 6 finale was a cliff-hanger within cliff-hangers. It is an extra special dose of Falcon Crest edge of seat stuff. They don’t make them like this anymore.


A meeting is taking place, in the mansion, which sees Angela reclaim Falcon Crest. In attendance are; Lance, Pilar, Richard, Lauren, Angela and three lawyers, (a scene from the final episode, season 9, 1989-‘90):

Angela’s lawyer: “I have to warn you all, one last time, that what you are doing may seem like an expedient solution now but it may result in some family squabbles, down the line.”

Angela laughs and says, “So what’s new?”

Angela’s lawyer: “I’m just trying to avoid any problems that may arise in the future.”

Angela: “What ever problems come up in the future will be handled in the future. It’s all in the family.”

Angela’s lawyer: “Then I guess that’s it.” He then passes a document over to Richard’s lawyer, for the ownership to transfer. “Congratulations Angela, Falcon Crest is yours again!”

Angela: “It always was. Did anyone ever doubt it?”

Chao-Li arrives with several glasses of white wine, on a sliver platter.

Angela: “Oh Chao-Li your timing is perfect. Thank you! You know we have other things to celebrate, besides this agreement. The lawyers tell me that Frank is going to be released from jail; in a couple of weeks and this morning I got a letter from Emma. She’s coming back to the valley this summer and she’s going to bring her baby daughter with her, named Angela. Isn’t that sweet?”

Lance: “I’d like to raise my glass and toast to Falcon Crest and to the children.”

Everyone toasts and Angela says; “Well now I think we have a wedding to prepare.”
