I know it's early in the season but I'm curious: what match up would like to see in the BCS Championship Game? Or who do you think will be in the game?
I'd love to see an LSU--USC matchup.

Sounds interesting, although as much as I dislike USC, I have to admit they would kill LSU, or pretty much anyone at this point. The only teams that I think could possibly beat USC are Oklahoma and Florida.

USC won't be in the BCS game. Got hammered by Oregon State last nite.

I don't know, MrsJock, teams with one loss have made it before. And the media for some reason just loves USC, even though the PAC 10 is a pretty weak conference.

This week really messed up all the rankings. If I had to pick right now I'd say Oklahoma and Alabama, although I'm rooting for Texas.
USC, IMO is the least deserving of the one loss teams to go to the championship, if USC, Georgia, or Florida win out.

The Pac 10 is always good... I love how people talk about the media then they lap up all the media's "There's only two real conferences..." crap.

Honestly, that game's a push. Oklahoma is favored, though.

The way I look at it, if Oklahoma cannot beat Texas, how can they beat Florida? I do like Bobby Stoops though.

Well, if that's your logic, why do you want a playoff? If we play the games on paper, Pen State beat Oregon State and USC didn't, so that game's going to be a route for the Nittany Lions.

I hate both Oklahoma and Florida. On the one hand, Florida is in the SEC so I feel somewhat obligated to root for them. On the other hand, Sam Bradford is hot . . . so I don't know . . .

I was just watching ESPN, and one of the anylists made a good point. Oklahoma ran up the score because they knew it would get them alot of attention. Bob Stoops showed no class by leaving Bradford in for the whole game. They knew that if they scored 60 points there was no way that the BCS(Bull Crap System) would leave them out. So they get into the game on an act of unsportsmanship, while they know that Texas beat them 45-35, fair and square.

And Texas Tech beat Texas fair and square so why aren't they in the Fiesta Bowl? You can go in circles.

Everybody does it and Stoops learned from the master, Steve Spurrier
Coaches are almost forced to run up the score in order to get noticed by the pollsters

Texas Tech lost by 40, so they don't deserve to be in the championship game. Oklahoma may very well be the best team right now, I don't deny it, but they are not the most deserving.

Utah is the most deserving. They beat every team they played.

I am just stating my opinion on the matchups. Duh! I still want a playoff.

Some master. 31-10 Iowa over South Carolina in the Outback Bowl

In 1994 Penn State had a huge lead over Indiana so JoePa pulled all his starters, then Indiana scored enough to get back into contention. That cost Penn State at least a share of the NC with Nebraska.

So we just watched the game and have a question: How long will it take to extract Tim Tebow's **** from the throats of the announcers?

It was a good game, and I'm glad that Florida won. However, Tebow is not the best college football player ever. He's not even the undisputed best college football player of this decade. I'd say that Vince Young, Reggie Bush, and Matt Leinhart were around the same level as Tebow, and If I had to choose one player to win me a college football game, I would take Young over any of them.

Don't worry Darius. Tebow will be another NFL bust like Spurrier, Wuerrfel (sp), Grossman, and Leak.

What about USC. They could win the Pac 10 and still get knocked out of the BCS Title game.

I doubt it, especially with a road win versus Ohio State on their resume.

As long as Florida and either Texas or OU are undefeated at the end of the season, USC will not be voted into the championship no matter their record.

Neither of those things will happen.
