Congratulations to Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell.

The couple, who got married last summer, are expecting their first child together.

Actually, they're expecting two!

The pair's rep confirmed Monday morning that they are going to be having twins.

The babies are due this winter.

I know. Who'da thunk he'd turn out to be the most legit (sorta-kinda) of his co-stars?

Actually, I did. When I first saw SBM in 1986, I thought the acting ws mostly awful, typical of so many films of that time--- except for River and the "fat kid", who both were really good.

But I could never have guessed Jerry would eventually be the "looker" of the cast... (Well, I suppose River was, too, for a time, but I suspect he doesn't look so good now).

i sort of knew jerry when stand by me came out - already by then he'd shot up quite a bit and had shed most of his baby fat - this was the summer of 87, maybe - i think we were both 11/12ish. we played on the beach together several times- out in the most glorious place on earth - montauk. he's pretty much looked the same since then. when we grew older i'd still see him on the beach each summer but we'd just say hello. he found some surfer chick to hang with instead of me. :o
