I strongly urge everybody to give this a shot because it´ll be worth it! I have read through half of the posted episodes and think it´s brilliantly written and also increasingly interesting.. (*)

I´m hoping this new season holds even more mystery and more drama.. ;)

I have a tiny question, Jay; why are the eps mixed up? For example, page 3 starts with ep. 10.13 then 5.5 and then 10.12 and so on? Maybe I´m just daft but it´s rather confusing.. I´ve made it easy by copying the eps into Word in order to read it through..

I went to SON today to rework my blog and start posting today. One of the first things I noticed was another blogger complaining about things. As I tried to set things up, none of the content blocks were working, and after three failed attempts, I gave up.

Not really thrilled with any other blogging sites. Anyone know of a good one?

First, there's no way I'd post at UD again amongst the Blake/Krsytle harpies -- they're worse than the Alexis fanatics here. Second, I wouldn't call the porn there fan fiction, and it certainly isn't Dynasty as most know it; it's a deluded fantasy. Third, we tried our best to be faithful to the original series, characters, and events while still having fun. It wasn't easy going over the top and staying within the realms of good storytelling. If and when I do repost, be assured it's the best damn fiction out there.

Thanks to everyone who's been asking. Yes, my partner and I (along with some friends) wrote a faithful sequel to Dynasty that not only included The Reunion but bridged the time between the series and The Reunion. The reception was so well, that we continued and the seasons up to the year 2000, the debut of the fan fiction Dynasty the Next Generation (which we were scheduled to join, but declined).

One day, it'll return. In the meantime, just keep watching. We'll. keep you informed. It is the season of miracles, you know?

There's been some editing problems too. Season 13 was way too long. And one story from season 15 is WAY over the top, but it's our salute to camp. As I discussed in other threads, the outrageous stories Dynasty concocted weren't it's downfall. To me there is nothing wrong with introducing comedy, horror, or even sci-fi elements to story. They're all part of the human condition. However, Dynasty was so far removed by this time it didn't know how to do this properly. For instance, Forstyhe installed the Blake and Krystle forever clause. Basically he fixed this couple so all they could do would be the usual drama. They were not allowed to be the typical soap couple facing dangers and opposition. Together with Alexis, they were a triangle, but not an effective one. Introducing these elements -- Blake's amnesia and Rita, for example -- would have allowed the characters to do things they wouldn't normally do. Yet, Dynasty failed in both instances. We have a story that is over the top, outrageous, and some might even say non-Dynasty, or even non-realistic, but it does allow the characters to stay true to themselves while exploring other possibilities. Gasp! Could Krystle have an affair?

Thanks again for all the interest. A revival is definitely on top of my list for the new year. I really liked both the freedom and environment that SON provided. And even though some blog provide the same, it's still not the same due to the fact that our fiction was so visual. It tried to be Dynasty.

Also, while I'm at it, thanks to a great group of friends and writers -- Russ, Randy, Tom, Seth and Amy, Michael and Andrea.

I keep clicking on links to that SON website and it says there are no entries on there for dynasty? I want to read it but can't, are the episodes posted on this site at all?
