Okay, so I've made it no secret that I'm not a fan of this season and I've been happy to see so many people share my feelings. We're two weeks into Big Brother 9, and the discussion is very minimal so far. BB8, although not lacking in controversy, was nowhere near this bad. Especially in the beginning, and you can tell because we all had lively discussions about the house-guests, the nominations, the POV competitions, etc. This season hasn't really sparked any of that.

Although I admittedly haven't followed this season that closely, what I have seen was repulsive to me. It seems there is even more vulgarity and down-right filthy people in the house this year than ever before. I've also been turned off by the couples twist as well. Since many of us seem to be in agreement that this is one of the worst Big Brother seasons ever, I wonder how many people outside of this board feel the same way.

For example, does anybody else find it suspicious that both Allison and Amanda suffer two different, yet life-threatening attacks at the same time? The producers even chose to air a commercial specifically mentioning their trips to the hospital several days before the episode aired, and the cynic in me can't help but wonder if this was simply a ratings stunt. I have to admit I watched for that reason alone.

I also thought it was strange the way Amanda was walking and talking about not feeling well, and then all of a sudden she faints and falls to the floor. It seemed just a little too quick, almost as if it had been staged. I don't like being so cynical about this, and I do feel bad for both women if they indeed suffered coincidental attacks at the same time. However, I could certainly see the producers staging something like this for ratings.

Does anybody else have any thoughts on this?

The "Couples" angle sucks. It makes the show so much more confusing. But I am still hooked and watch. I read amanda had a seizure because her blood sugar is low and being on slop is hurting it.

If not for the writers strike I don't think this show would be on right now. I love this show but can only take it in a dose of once a year.
