Entitled "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" made in the 70's and produced by a young Stephen Spielberg. The movie is about the Beatles arrival in NY city for their first Ed Sullivan show appearance, and how a group of friends does anything and everything to make it to the show.
This movie is hilarious! Someone nicely posted the entire movie on youtube, link below. But it's worth the rental the next time you go.
The link has the movie in 11 parts, numbered accordingly. Enjoy! :hello:

It's pretty unique in that the Beatles aren't actually in the movie, but instead rear head shots, boot shots, etc. to portray them being there. And at the Ed Sullivan show taping, the actual appearance footage is used and spliced into camera displays. It's a fun movie, taking you back to all the hoopla of their arrival in America.

OMG...This is one of my fave movies of all time. I thought I was the only person who had ever seen it. Not one person I know in real life has ever even heard of it. I had it on vhs for years until I got the DVD. I have watched it repeatedly. Extremely funny.
The late Wendy Jo Sperber as Rosie is hysterical in this film.

I didn't know Wendy Jo passed away! :( What happened? The last I saw was several years ago, I saw a photo of her and she had lost a ton of weight (not that she was ever really big). She was about my age I think. That is so sad.

P.S. Don't click the link I used at the top, the movie has been removed from youtube. Go rent it instead.

I believe she had breast cancer. She fought it for awhile I think. She was a very under-rated talent IMO. Her performance in this film brings me endless joy when I watch it.

Wow, I'm so sorry and I agree with you about her talent. This is kind of a raunchy movie, but did you ever see her in "Bachelor Party" starring a young Tom Hanks? She was hilarious in that one too. And I remember her on Bosom Buddies, also with Tom.

Yes saw her in both. She was also in Back To The Future playing Marty McFly's sister.
