Can't we do something about these people?

They've been the subject of a couple of investigative documentaries over here, one by Louis Theroux (Justin's cousin), the other by Keith Allen (Lily's dad). There's something very watchable, even engaging, about some of the family members, and the teenage girls are positively sweet.

Assassination and torture seem to be popular.

I propose when Fred Phelps dies all Soapchat members drive or fly depending on where they live to Topeka KS and picket his funeral.

Did we watch the same documentary, or am I on the wrong set of people??
The family that make little kids picket dead servicemens funerals, together with their teenage sisters?
I watched them make an un-interested 8 year old, march round, with a banner, with obsene remarks about homosexuals on it.
A moment later, a car screeched around the corner, and the occupants hurled a brick at the kid, knocking him to the ground.
He was hawked up by his mother, and made to carry on, marching round with his disgusting banner, and join in while his mum/family, made hateful remarks about soldiers killed in battle.
We must be at cross purposes, because there was nothing engaging or positively sweet, about the "family" I watched.

Does this mean you are a fan of their behavior?

This sounds like the kind of thing another member used to post before she was banned.
I have an opinion, and I posted it.
That was my point. It's all a matter of opinion or perception.
The whole lot of them were mad as hatters
That doesn't necessarily preclude them from being charismatic, articulate and good humoured.
that's my opinion....and i'm usually right.
This is where the bla bla bla comes in. It's not a question of right and wrong, opinions are subjective, does this really need explaining, bla bla bla.

I realise this is a vague attempt to be insulting, but thanks anyway. I'm revving up for a bit of Shakespeare actually.

What I find the most disturbing is that these children are holding these hate-filled signs and don't even know what they are protesting. It's sick how they take advantage of their impressionable minds.

Thats what I mean.
The little boy, had absolutely no idea, what he was protesting against, and got a brick hurled at his head, for his trouble.
He was un-cerimoniously lifted up, and told to carry on protesting!!
The boy was very upset and confused, and that cannot be right, for a mum to impose her beliefs on one so young and vulnerable.

What amazes me is that someone threw a brick at a child's head in the first place. They're not a steller member of society either...

In a world where all sorts of extremists are capable of violence, I don't know how these people haven't been targeted by people even more extreme than them, especially since they seem to thrive off of pissing other people off.

I'm surprised they've gotten so much attention. I wouldn't know about them if not for all the postings. They are a small group. Yes, they say really outrageous things and try to offend. If they've broken the law, I'm sure they'd have been arrested by now, as they don't sound like they'd get much public sympathy. Giving them attention kind of suggests that they should be taken seriously, which I can't see myself doing.

Picket hell. Why not instead celebrate the good riddance to bad garbage by throwing the world's largest drunken bachanalia instead? I'm talking about no-holds-barred sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll event! And every gay on the planet is invited.
Why don't we just round up the Phelps family and barricade them in their own church and.... well.... USE YOUR IMAGINATION.
