Great band, had a few of their albums in the 80's.

Favourite track would be Waterfront:D

What track would you say was their best ?

They say 'Don't You Forget' is their best, but for me it was overplayed !

I loved that song, and still do, and it motivated me to buy their albums, but I haven't found other tunes I like as much :(

You turn me on, you lift me up
And like the sweetest cup I'd share with you
You lift me up, don't you ever stop, I'm here with you
Now it's all or nothing
'Cause you say you'll follow through
You follow me, and I, I, I follow you

I love Simple Minds. I was in the crowd during the making of the 'Waterfront' video at The Barrowlands Ballroon in Glasgow, just like Coutney Cox in the Bruce Springsteen vid :p

Simple Minds were an awesome band.. i personally blame Chrissy Hinde for their downfall.. when she married Jim they stopped producing good music.

Dont you forget about me- (my favourite)
Alive and Kicking
Promised you a miracle
Let there be love (there last great song in my opinion)
Belfast Child

Only ever owned their music on Vinyl.. so haven't heard some of their stuff in years. Best go hunt some tunes down now, i'm in the mood.

I was once filmed front row at a Bryan Adams concert, I was hoisted into the air, wrapped round my boyfriend's neck! :D

Oops.. i forgot "love song"..
I used to flog that song when i was younger.
The album we had with this song on it had a tiny scratch thru part of this tune..
i still wait for the hiccup when i hear it on the radio.

I didn't like them at the time, but I can detect their influence when I listen to Arcade Fire and I really like Arcade Fire so I suspect I might be more kindly disposed to them now. Word on the street is Jim Kerr is hung like a donkey.

I remember a track they did called "America" that was on a free cassette that came with Select Magazine. I liked that one.
