Joan van Ark Promoting Diet Pills?

I remember when I was looking through old theads on this board reading something about that back a few years ago Joan van Ark was promoting or advertising Diet Pills I don't remember the name of them.Is that true I would think since I read people say it on here that it is true.I just can't imagine her promoting diet pills she has always been so skinny so how would that work.Why in the world was she doing that??Did she claim she took them she wouldn't have a very good before and after since she has been skinny for so long.Was she selling them on an imformercial?

I've never known about the ad for diet pills. It's hard to imagine Joan Van Ark being a spokesperson for diet products since she's never had an ounce of "jiggle" on her.:p :D Maybe she took the job between other jobs.:)

It was an infomercial she hosted. Just Joan and the creator/developer (?) of the pills standing in front of a counter. I saw bits and pieces of it doing the usual late night channel surfing. It wasn't as glossy as a Proactiv infomercial, more in line with the colon cleanse one with the guy who talks about his daughter's voluminous bowel movements.
I'm cloudy with the details, I don't really remember if it was said or implied that Joan used the pills, or if she was just there as host to present the product in a positive light. I may be totally making this up, but I vaguely remember them doing the thing where they put the pill in a beaker of water and fat and all the fat seperates.

I'm almost sure that I read on this board that Joan did take them and said something like trust me I know what its like to have a problem with your weight or something like that.It wouldn't appear that she ever had a weight problem.
