So I've been pretty lucky in regards to death. My Grandfather died when I was very, very young, my English teacher that I loved died when I was in 8th grade, and that's it.
Then last night one of my best friends died. It was a freak accident, completely unexpected. He was very young.
He was a far, far better man than I. I'm just at a loss for words about this. It's so weird talking about him in the past tense. At the same time, I just saw him last week and I've only know for four hours, but it now feels like he's been dead for years! I'm so confused right now. I wanna do SOMETHING but I just don't know what.

I know what you are going through, my best friend and her boyfriend died in a motorcycle accident when she was only 18 (i was 19) It is extremely weird knowing you will never see them again.
I know this isn't going to be a great comfort but time does heel all wounds...
Take care!

well 1stly i'm sorry for your loss as well. the one person that i've really been REALLY close passed away in (1991) & it hit me pretty hard. it was my grandfather. & while i've NEVER gotten over it. it does't hurt NOT nearly as much as it did back than. buut i am lucky on the memories i have of him. & the stuff we did together. & also the fact that IF i ever want to hear or see him speak i can put in an old family video we made waaaaaay back in (1986)! he's in that one. & it's also got my now dead uncle who as you all know killed himself a few months ago. his voice is on it as well. buut enough about me. i'm sorry about your loss. i hope you can get through this as well. time does heal wounds. all ya really need to do is take it one day at a time. the pain may stick with you in some form or other. buut don't do nothing stupid. & don't hold your emotions in when it DOES finally hit you. just let it all out in private if that's how prefer to do it. that's what i did. i just let it all come out. & it hit me pretty quick. & HARD extremly HARD! soo in short i can understand what you are going through i've been there. & i'm sure MANY MANY MANY etc. people on this site has as well in some form or other unfortunaly, may it be a family member or a loved one.or a friend. & my heart goes out to you as well.
