I love watching the videos people post on here and I wanted to make one on my own. I didn't have any video clips so I decided to use screen caps instead. It's a Ray and Donna video set to "Love Will Lead You Back" by Taylor Dayne. I'm posting two links for it.
A version you can download:

Thanks to everyone who has been watching my videos and leaving comments:)
I just finished a new video and I wanted to focus more on the early days of Ray and Donna's relationship so I just used images from Seasons 1, 2, and 3. The song I used is "Hearts On Fire" by Bryan Adams. For whatever reason YouTube isn't working for me right now so all I have is a downloadable version. I'll keep working on YouTube and I'll post it when (if?) it decides to work again!

Hi Tom,
I've just watched your two latest videos "Stars over Texas" and "Hearts on fire" and I liked them both. You've put the still images to great use in both videos, capturing a lot of moments of their story. :)
I remember how I used to work with still caps too before I got my first video program and capture card...I did powerpoint presentations though...
Anyway keep up the good work and I'll look forward to see your next video,

Hey everyone,
Finally I'm back with a new video:) Thanks to Karin, Killer Bob and Sanda I was able to do my first video using only video clips. With that said, it is my first, so it may be kind of rough around the edgeslol Hope you all enjoy it. It's set to "Making Up for Lost Time" by Gary Morris and Crystal Gayle, which I think was the Dallas Lovers' Theme at some point in time. Hi Tom,
Thanks for mentioning my name in the credits, I appreciate it. :thanks:
Now here is some feedback on your work. Over all I think it's a nice first try to make a video working with clips. :)
I like the beginning with the picture of the moon and credits as well as the end pictures. I think pictures makes a nice wrapping of the video! ;)
Then as far as the narrative of the video goes I think it's sort of obvious that you still need more clips to work with as the video was a bit slow paced. But I think it'll get better the more you'll get to work with...:hello:
I love the song. It was on Dallas The Music Story album from the mid 80s where it was marked as the Dallas lovers song...
I have used this song myself for a Dallas couples music video I did about 3 years ago. I am not sure if you've seen it however...:peace:
and well keep up the good work,
Take care,
Best wishes:

Hi Tom,
Here's finally some feedback on your latest video! :)
Great job on the new video! It was way better than the last couple video you did. :wiggle:
I can really see improvement. I love the bittersweet song too...I have that on a Trisha Yearwood album... :)
You did really well matching up the clips with the song lyrics. I love the part with "it's bittersweet to look back now" and the use of JR/SE's wedding...it illustrate the situation perfectly. Also that clip of Donna & Ray after the miscarriage, so heartbreaking...
Thanks also for mentioning me in the thank yous. I appreciate that!
Keep up the good work!
Vote4Cliff, Cliff naked? No thank you! I have too much respect for all of the Dallas stars to want to see them naked. I don't think of them that way. For heaven's sake most of them are in my parents generation or older anyway!

Hey everyone, finally a new video from me!:D It's set to the song "You Are the Love of My Life" by George Benson and Roberta Flack. It doesn't necessarily follow the lyrics, but is meant to reflect them:) The credits didn't come out quite right, but I wanted to thank Tiani for choosing the song, Karin and Killer Bob for the clips, and Fiona and Josie for their un-ending help. Hi Tommie,
I'm back from my vacation so here's some feedback on your latest video! :)
First off I love the song, I used it myself for a Buffy & Angel video about four years ago and it was interesting to see what you've done with it in your Donna & Ray take! ;)
I love the black and white clips representing the past and what could still be if they hadn't gone their separate ways. Over all it's a sort of bittersweet video showing how much better they were together than apart. Great job! :)
Also you're welcome about the clips, just sorry I can't help more...

Hi Tommie,
I finally got around to watch your video. Sorry I haven't done that before but work is so stressful at the moment... :(
Anyway it was a really sweet video. It's amazing how much the music matters in setting the tone of the video. This video felt old-fashioned somehow due to the 50s or 60s (?) music.
It was really cute though. I love the way the Donna's credits matches the music when she turns around on the beat. :)
Good work on matching up the lyrics with the clips too...

Too bad Youtube is becomming such a pain about great videos. Glad you were able to share it with us anyway ;)

Tommie, I LOVE your new Donna and Ray music video. :) I LOVE all of the season 8 clips that you used in your new Donna and Ray music video. :) I LOVE the song The Only Promise That Remains by Reba and Justin Timberlake that you used to make your new Donna and Ray music video. :)

I didn't notice the length at all, so that means it is a success! Very moving and emotional. You've told their story beautifully here. The narrative and the song work perfectly together. I'm impressed! Thank you so much.

Wow! Tommie, that's a really beautiful video! You have really managed to show all the hard times that Donna & Ray went through during season 7 and the dream season. I like your use of black and white to the flashbacks of the past when things were easier. :)
Also I think the video illustrates how strong Donna & Ray's love for each other were. Excellent acting on Susan and Steve's part too! Even without words their actions are really moving. :wiggle:
Keep up the good work and I'll look forward to see what you'll come up with next,
Take care,
Love:

Yikes--I didn't realize it had been two years since I updated this thread! Graduate school and life in general got in the way and I have produced very few videos over that timespan. About three months ago I became inspired again and constructed two videos in quick succession. Literally two days later, my computer died. Luckily I was able to retrieve the videos and get them to YouTube. Based on copyright info I have no clue if they will even work for anyone, but I hope they will! If you have any trouble or would like a copy to download for yourself, just leave a message on my profile and I will try to get you a copy.
The first video is kind of a compilation but built around a theme. Much of the drama surrounds the episode "Close Encounters" as well as Bobby's death. It also broadens out and covers J.R. and Sue Ellen's issues, and Sue Ellen's relationship with Dusty; the drama surrounding Bobby and Pam's love story and her efforts to move on somewhat with Mark, and Ray and Donna's issues over the years. Originally I had intended for a larger scope but I ran out of time and space, which is why you see glimpses of Cliff and Miss Ellie's relationships as well. It's set to the song "Things Will Never Be the Same" by Roxette. Roxette always seems to lend so well to videos. Josie AKA The Lovely Sue Ellen was my inspiration for this one and I hope we are able to collaborate again in the future!

The other video is pure Krebbs. Once again I minded the territory of their courtship and early marriage as I think these were some of the most interesting times in the early years. Their relationship really allowed them to interact more heavily with the other characters and storylines. The song I used is "Look at Me" by Alan Jackson.

"mined", that is. I really gotta learn to proofread more thoroughly! If anyone is interested, I also created a PETROCELLI video a while back for YouTube. This is the show Susan did before she was Donna, and many DALLAS actors showed up in the storylines. The video is about Tony and Maggie, as was much of the show; their friend Pete also features. Getting images of the show is not the easiest and therefore the video is not as diverse as I would like--but it took an incredibly long time to construct and I am quite proud of it. It is set to the song "Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me" by Gladys Knight & the Pips. Let me know what you think! If only the show were on DVD...

Tommie! Great to see some new work from you.
I was worried when your computer died that you wouldnt be able to get to your videos.
So glad that you could. Both are awesome. I really love the first one because it has so many of the characters in it. And the other one is a great video of Ray and Donna.
Nicely Done.

Man, those Krebbs sure did a whole lot of kissing and hugging! "Look at Me" is a very romantic compilation. It's tender and sweet. Thanks for making it.
I really like the ending of "Things Will Never be the Same." The Ewing Oil bombing was a really good cliff hanger and right o to the sentiment of your song.
Tony and Maggie rock, even if Tony was really a member of the wrong tribe.

Tommie, I finally had some time to check out your new videos. Three of them, what a treat. :)
I love the "Things will never be the same video". It was a clever idea to use the song to portray how things had changed after Bobby's death, even though the video strayed a bit from it's core later on. But yeah it did prove the point that things changed with time and was never the same again...
The Krebbs video was sweet. I wish we'd get to see a Donna & Ray on the new show with Margaret...
I really enjoyed the Petrocelli video too, it was a nice show even though it got a bit predictable with the case of the week after a few episodes... ;)
Anyway keep up the good work and I'd look forward to find out what you'll do next.
Take care,
Love:
Karin.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback! I really appreciate it. :)
A note before I post this video...I have wanted to make this video for a few years now but only recently got around to putting pen to paper, so to speak. In the process of creating it, both Windows Live Movie Maker and Windows Movie Maker gave me absolute fits. Neither program would save the video or recognize all clips. I had to edit/re-edit or remake the video at least six times. Finally, after something of a patch job, the video is complete. It's not completely true to my original vision--some clips wound up out of order and I lost all of my scenes from "The Outsiders". There are at least five different versions but, in the end, I am glad to have it finished and this is the version I present to you. The song I used is "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis and the video is dedicated to my friend Tiani. It contains moments of both hurts and happiness from seasons 1-7. Hope you all like it! :)
P.S. Many thanks to Josie for making sure I didn't pull my hair out during the creative process!

After many, many technical difficulties, I am back with a new video! A long, long time ago Tiani asked me to make this one so it's dedicated to her! Hope you all like it! It's set to the song "This Kiss" by Faith Hill and, as such, it's just a whole lot of kissing :)

At long last...an update to my thread :)
The first video is a tribute to the criminally insane, DALLAS' very own Katherine Wentworth. The idea was inspired by Josie (The Lovely Sue Ellen) as a response to her Kimberly-MELROSE PLACE video.

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lymfvAstk_U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The next video is my first ever Bobby-Pam video. I have way more Ray and Donna stuff than clips of anyone else so I had to work around that; I also only have the first eight boxed sets on DVD so this video stops after Bobby's death. As such, it's more from Pam's perspective as she remembers the trials and tribulations of their relationship. It's set to the song "Forever" by Rascal Flatts, and is dedicated to my friend Brittany (PAMANDBOBBYFOREVER). I hope you'll all like it.

Thank you for the feedback on my new Dallas video Tommie. Here's some feedback in return for you! :D
I love your first Bobby & Pam video. It was angsty and it made me wish that Bobby & Pam were together on the new Dallas. With other words, you did a great job reminding us of the great lovestory that was with the clips you selected and the lyrics and clips suited so well. No they weren't together long enough but the memories lingers forever!
I didn't like the song on your Katherine Wenthworth video. But it was a great idea and I appreciated the humor with the clips put together with the lyrics!
She really went crazy...
Love your Donna & Ray videos too. "This kiss" was a true feel good video with lots of cute pieces that makes you smile even on a bad day. :)
The song reminds me of High school since that's when Faith Hill first became popular here. She's one of my favorite singers btw. So love your music selection.
"Bleeding Love", I also love that song. It was bittersweet but great!
Take care,
Love:
Karin

Great Work Tommie!
I love that we both made a video to "Funny Farm" I have always had a soft spot for that song because my dad liked it. And after watching Melrose Place I knew right away that it was a song ment for Kimberly Shaw. Then you mentioned Katherine and I thought why not!
The Bobby and Pamela video is beautiful as well and the song really fits.
Great Job.
Im glad you are making videos again.
