I'm afraid I have to disagree with her. I'm sure she wouldn't be saying that if she had heard comments such as the ones that came from Dannielle. Oh Shilpa you are so misguided, if only you knew about some of the things that those cretins have said. :(

OH MY WORD. LOL sorry I didnt know she called her those names as surnames.
She did say them comments about the surnames, it really shocked me as if she couldn't stoop any lower.

Shilpa hasn't heard the comments behind her back :(

Some of the things that have been said definitely do have a racial undertone IMO. Obviously you can't 100 percent say for definite but some of them are so obvious such as Dannielle's "she should f**k off home" comment.
They're just silly little girls though and like I said in another thread there probably isn't any actual racial beliefs there and that they're just making silly retorts that unfortunately have a racial undertone which has caused this stir. Sadly it's still unacceptable and enough to make it all kick off like this...I hope they learn a lesson from this to put some more thought into what they say. Don't go with the easiest option especially in these circumstances because it's obviously not done any of them any good.
Completely unacceptable behaviour. They need educated on how to speak to people properly. I still can't believe how mental Jade was the other night.

Apparently Shilpa's performance in the Diary Room seemed orchestrated. Somebody who saw the footage on the news said that it seemed extremely apparent that Shilpa was informed to a degree of the backlash.
As she's an actress it would be easy for her to learn her lines. I'm sure they'll have briefed her about this. If she says it isn't racist then C4 will hope that all this will go away but that's not good enough. Viewers have seen comments which clearly are racist and they're not going to just sweep that under the carpet. When Shilpa hears all about them herself then hopefully she will stop saying that it isn't racist. The poor woman doesn't even know what is going on and who has said what. I also find it very odd that she would go into the Diary Room and make a statement about it not being racist, very odd thing to do. If it cropped up in a discussion then fair enough but to go into the Diary Room to specifically target that issue is very odd indeed. She also said something like "this is like a statment from me...." why would she use those words? It seemed like a conference by all accounts. So much for not being told anything from the outside world. It's a little too staged for my liking these days.
Anyway when she comes out of the house hopefully her family and friends will tell her exactly what has been going on and BB's hatchet job will fail when Shilpa finally discovers the true extent of it all.
I wouldn't be surprised if BB asked her questions in such a way that forced her to take back what she said. They could easily have asked her that if it was racism they will have to take her out of the show and bring forth a police investigation etc hence she'd be pushed in a corner. Thats just one example, but the questions could have been similar - everybody noticed the change in her stance - VERY obvious change aswell. Not only in the diary room but even going around convincing others. Very fishy.

The only thing though is that she has everything to gain and nothing to loose by revealing this at some point.
Although I do think its interesting it is now a topic of conversation in the show itself. So I do believe there has been some kind of off screen contact.
But she may of been directed in a manipulative fashion rather than told what to say.

Shilpa probably doesn't like playing the race card but it's out of her hands in this instance anyway. Official word from Shilpa or not the Joe Public know that some racial comments have been said and the furore already exists without Shilpa's go ahead. There's not a lot she can do about it, even though she's the subject here she will have little control over the situation.

Shilpa's 'statement' was definitely suspicious. She said she wanted it known it was her statement on the subject period, now why would she backtrack like that after the previous night finally admitting it was racism. Funny, that she comes out with a 'statement' after Ch4 is put under pressure the previous night over her initial comments. If BB get the alleged victim to say she doesn't feel she's the target of racism, they think then why should everyone else. Ridiculous. It is what it is and they've done nothing. And to think they said 'at least its raised the issue of racism'. So, it doesn't matter that someone has been subjected to it or bullied, it's raised an important issue? Give me a break. They should have been given a warning from the start and then if it continued, thrown out. Like they do if you as much as climb on the roof or furniture or wreck their pretty little garden in the regular shows.
Not surprised one bit Jade has been tipped off. Bloody typical. Mind, I think Jo and Danielle cottoned onto something when they were called to the diary room. Jo seemed a tad defensive and desperate about distancing herself far away from the arguments as she could. Danielle seemed shocked they'd heard her. And Jade having an 'I'm not racist' rant over the 'poppadom' comment. 'I'm sorry if i offended any indians' Wait until you get out, love.
Doubt Jade will care about all the crap she'll get anyway. She'll just use it to score further publicity.

Shilpa's statement means nothing right now anyway because she doesn't know everything that has been said about her behind her back so she can't say that nothing has been racially motivated in there until she does know everything.
