So I was very bad on Sunday and spent all day out in the sun (left home at 8am, returned at 7pm) without wearing a hat or sunblock. I took it for granted that I never burn having not had a sunburn since 1993 but guess what - I burned. And boy did I burn although only on my arms and my face. It wasnt that bad at first but now a few days later my arms are itching to no end and my face is peeling leaving me feeling like a lizard that is busy shedding.
I've been putting tons of moisturiser on my face and have been using this after sun cooling gel with tea tree oil and aloe in it on my arms. But its not working and the itching is not stopping. Can anyone help me stop this itching. I am going crazy.
A mate of mine tried Natural Yogurt which they said worked better than any moisturiser.
I once burnt my legs and couldn't sllep. Being in a hotel at the time I just put wet/damp towels on my legs and that worked for me.

This will sound very strange Jon, but after suffering badly one year in Turkey, my friend found the perfect solution - vinegar. It smells bad, but it really works. Something to do with whatever is in vinegar!!

I think I may have found something that works. I just took a bath and put a teabag in my bath water. Following that I rinsed my arms and face with tea that id let cool down and it seems to be working, Most of my face seems to have peeled now also and the part that hasnt i can cover by wearing my hair down.
Isn't that cruelty to tea bags ?

I was just going to suggest that! It absolutely works.

The smell must get right up your nose though!

Oh, it stinks to high heaven alright. But if you've ever had my sunburn, you'll try anything.

I have this "Banana Boat After Sun Lotion" too and it works wonders! a total lobster burn is gone in a few days.

Aloe Vera will do it.
I just got home and there was a flurry of snow in London, so although I dont envy your burns I do your weather. :D
What would also help is if you find yourself a nice person to massgae the cream in for you.
